Not a bad shout that m8 ;)
Thanks O0
I hate to see it end that way, but I think this is such a competitive bout, that the alleged slapping isint gonna be enough to deter Kessler... Every punch is gonna have to count for him to win, and I think that will be his downfall.... He is definetly gonna need 2 hands to beat Kessler ;)
Thats the thing im worried about thats why i said Calzaghe wins if his hands hold up thats big worry i hope it doesn't happen but its 50/50.

I guess my longass reply didn't go through >:mad Clicked off as it was submitting, usually it goes through regardless, damn. Put effort into that one ;D So here's the Cambells Soup version.
I think Calzaghe would win a wide unanimous decision.
It's not at all a slight to Kessler, but I don't think his style matches up well for Joe. Kessler likes to keep his opponents on the outside and it just doesn't work with Joe. He's going to get to you, he's going to square up and he is going to release a whole hell of a lot of punches in not a lot of time.
Kessler has a big body, very long punches and uses his leverage very well on those punches. BUT, he does drop his hands after combos, especially a few rounds into his fights. Not a whole lot, but to keep a smaller boxer outside, you have to keep those hands up and you have to keep those hands up and be ready to fire at all times.
To win Mikell Kessler would either have to back Joe up, or stand his ground. Backing Joe up with those long punches would be ideal, but again, I think Joe Calzaghe is to damn crafty and energetic to stand for that. Standing his ground is conceivable, but that would give Calzaghe opportunities to get inside on him and from there it's over. Joe's hands are incredibly fast, he has tremendous balance, his punches come from everywhere and he moves his feet very well. On the other hand, Kessler isn't built for fighting on the inside, his punches are very long and when he shortens them up like he was forced to do against Mundine at times in their bout, they aren't nearly as effective.
I like Kessler (I can say that now that Royal's gone), I think Kessler and Lacy are the future of the division, but right now Calzaghe is perhaps the most spectacular fighter on the planet when he's on his game. Don't care how much Lacy choked, that performance and the gall to go inside with one of the most feared punchers in the game was unfortunately amazing. It was one of the single best performances I've ever seen.
Joe Calzaghe UD. And I don't think it's particulary close. I want to see the fight REALLY bad though. The hands are a wild card, but imo, more of a factor to call the fight to be canceled or postponed, not for Joe to quit.

CC Amat some very good analysis there, and I think that you're right about Lacy. Before he stepped in the ring with him, the number of people backing Lacy was very significant.

Well I don´t know I am pretty sure that Morgens Palle is looking for the bag of money he promised Calzaghe and Kessler for the fight. I know he has good connections but he does not have the money himself right know that is for sure.
I don´t know if he is really hospitalized but the first thing I heard about that it was from the BBC I doubt if its that much of a deal haven´t been anything about here, only a couple of newspapers mentioned briefly.
I think that the fight will come through ;D but that it will be in the UK :'(
