Oh, I'm sorry, Gene lost so it's just Sven and Floyd those guys who didn't lose or could never have lost in case they would have carried on...

I just thought it was odd hearing Ottke in the same sentence as Tunney and alltime great.

Yeah, it's odd but I got to know what Mayweather may suffer of - Bovarism, it's a schizo symptom related to the misperception of reality itself and of himself, Floyd really believes he's Sugar Ray Robinson in the undefeated 21st century version, one fashionable genius, really sad, straight from the MGM Grand Arena to the Mental Hospital.

If Floyd handles Hatton...great.
If Floyd handles Cotto...great.
If Floyd handles Shane...great.
If not...oh well. Floyd's nailed his straps & done enough for me & honestly...he might as well hang it up because if he's satisfied with what he's done in the game...great...cuz he sure as shit aint gonna satisfy his critics...no matter what.
wack i couldn't agree more. don't you remember when everybody said he was duckin hatton. now theres the possiblitly of a fight and people are still unhappy.
:coolclick: wacko

Re: Hatton is handpicked by PBF... this is blasphemy, but please hear me out.
Wacko3205 and The Boxer, there's one thing that Floyd could do that would satisfy me - don't fight anyone and shut the fwok up, that's not too much to ask for, is it? Stay retired please, go and start an acting career or a rap-artist career and let the real life welterweights Mosley, Tony, Miguel, Cintron and Williams fight between themselves and get to know who'll be the last standing. Floyd fans can enjoy his past achievements forever more or follow his circus fighting "out of retirement" against who disrespects him the most, who resembles more to the lamb about to be slayed and who bring more money on Mayweather Family's table. Period.

None of Floyd's critics will be happy until he loses and that is a fact!

people that arent maywethers fans usually still respect his fighting game...
its his fuc###g mouth and the, i'm better that you, mantality that people dont like...
when people dont like hatton well its, him and all the people he has fought are overrated or on the slide....
see the difference...
Re: Hatton is handpicked by PBF... this is blasphemy, but please hear me out.
don't get me wrong, I don't claim to be a mayweather fan at all. I'm just saying that many of his critics can't wait for him to fall on his face.
The fact is, he is one of the most technically gifted fighters in a generation. People resent that due to his attitude, but it is still true.
Re: Hatton is handpicked by PBF... this is blasphemy, but please hear me out.
I have come to a conclusion. actually its more of a theory or a hypotheisis entitled "Floyd will be Floyd"
Absolutely amazing against fighters he knows are helpless ie Gatti, N'dou, manfreddy, sharmba
nullifys dangerous opponents who can hurt him ie De La Hoya, Castillo, Judah
Fights boring 12 round shut outs against everybody else ie Sosa, Baldomire, corley
Hence, "Floyd will be Floyd" In my book he pretty much proved he can beat anybody and I really don't have any desire to see him fight anymore.
and yes you can crucify me for this but here goes.....gulp
He would have given sugar ray robinson a tough time
Re: Hatton is handpicked by PBF... this is blasphemy, but please hear me out.
It amazes me how much faith people put in Floyd.
Every boxer is vulnerable, you guys should know that.
Re: Hatton is handpicked by PBF... this is blasphemy, but please hear me out.
I said it once and I say it again, I take Floyd's boxing style a thousand times instead of Hatton's or Cotto's brawling one dimensional styles... PBF gives different angles to his box, lands clean, evades with lil feet movement and counters sharply, has fought great toe to toe fights and proved his chin ( Shutout win over DeMarcus Corley who had Cotto wobbled in PR, Phillip NDou who was 5'11'' tall and 31-0, 30 KOs, marvellous display against Gatti, outpunched Zab and won clearly 8 rounds to 4 at least against Hoya) so his boxing skills don't come into play here, I honestly believe he would give trouble to any all time great including Robinson hell yeah... The Post was about handpicking Ricky and avoiding others which is a statement I agree with, then I'll add that the guy is a nice fella but needs acting lessons in promoting fights, he says Larry has his fingers crossed whenever he fights, hoping he loses, cries afterwards, says that Golden Boy Prom tretaed hil like shit in the Tour ( schizo persecution symptom), he tells every ESPN, HBO interviewer he could do their job and that he is the G.O.A.T. ( Bovarism or Madame Bovary Symptom, pretends he's someone else), and then of course, he has all those thugsters and ass-holes around him to distort his behaviour even closer to the Darkside or into Pallokaville I better say... Like Floyd the boxer, definitely deslike Floyd the business man, dat's all!
Re: Hatton is handpicked by PBF... this is blasphemy, but please hear me out.
Reading you posts I would figure you'd have Floyd as Homais rather that Bovary. I think Floyd is quite aware of what he is doing and what he is claiming, this is boxing and being able to speak real loud seems to have some value. I do doubt his confidence outside of the ring sometimes though. I choose to ignore the talking unless it involves James Toney, then it has crossed over to comedy. Your views of Floyd's capabilities seem generous enough, I'm just curious which fighter would you pick as a great representative of the sport as far as attitude and conduct outside of the ring?

Thanks for the compliments, Global, I have to ckeck on that Homais Symptom though. I don't think he is aware of what he says sometimes and that was clear in "The World Awaits" promo, I'll give it a rest though cause Floyd was under too much pressure with the popularity of his last opponent and of that Mega fight itself... I think the WWE kinda talk sells yes, remember the "Danger Zone" event or the Middleweight series final in MSG in 2001... I also find James a lovable wacko and am sorry he is again under the stressful doping situation, Judah is also a wacko-funny character, Tyson had so many psycho comic lines throughout his career too, Eubanks is too damn eccentric and odd enough to shock anyone, guys like Mayorga are just rude, Hamed and Paes were just clownish and Floyd definitely needs acting lessons so that he doesn't get tasteless... Oh, I state it too many times by now, Floyd is the better boxer out there pound per pound, don't get me wrong... Conduct and attitude outside the ring? Man, I second what has been said about nice guys with great smiles not being true and genuine, that goes for greedy De La Hoya for example... I think Shane, Evander, Wlad, Joe, Ricky, Ronald, Marco Antonio and Miguel are genuine and nice, low profile kinda fellas... Bernard, Tito, Fernando and Toney have a lot of Charisma but they were never that "nice", Roy is always cool and Tarver was the greatest talker since Ali... No, I don't believe there's such a thing as a good representative, they're all pros and grown men... Just that Floyd cannot badmouth Ricky first, wait that he answers back and take that opportunity to play victim and avoid the guys he should be fighting, that is not smart, it's a damn right coward thang!

Homais was just another character from Madame Bovary, more of the self absorbed talker who did what was good for business regardless of the actions required. I'll second you for the Shane and Winky as good guy personalities that come across as sincere. They both avoided the trappings of calling out names and then ducking other names and kept a good attitude no matter what.
