66/1 .... and if as the translator said they had between them 10,000 euros on it...well that's probably more than Martinez actually got paid for fighting.
Billy Hills denied taking that bet.
It's more like Kiko's mob had a few tenners on it ;)
Re: The British (and Irish) RBR Returns - Dunne v Martinez and Oakey v Magee
When i saw the fight i really jus shhok my head...
1. It was sad to see bernard treated in such a fashion
2. Martinez got away with rape on live national and international television.
Re: The British (and Irish) RBR Returns - Dunne v Martinez and Oakey v Magee
I don't think it was a big shock. Dunne had already shown he was a bit fragile. You could tell by Kiko's mush, before the fight kicked off, he'd come to win.
That's what I see happening to Khan.
Re: The British (and Irish) RBR Returns - Dunne v Martinez and Oakey v Magee
U reckon? I think kahn is much more likely to remedy his defensive defects after his scare. Dunne had his opportunity to do the same after the voronin fight, lasted another fight with the hands up, coasted and the hands were down again the next fight. Got tagged late against walstad, hands stayed down against martinez.... ??? ??? ???
Stiil ur right i saw it coming altho i hoped dunne would prevail.
But altho i did go the bookies and put money on dunne for my girlfriend my ten squids wer on martinez

Yeah you could be right.
I more meant (does that make sense? :-\) Khan getting spectacularly done in 1 round the moment he meets a puncher.

Did you fall asleep during the long gap before the Calzaghe fight. There was some rubbish dull fight on, and I was snoozing for a while until it started to properly build up the atmosphere.
We were sitting in the cheap seats, but one of the lighting girders seemed to have slipped some of it's support ropes, and was hanging at an angle, so I spoke with the supervisor of the stewards, and we got moved from second tier to the 6th row first tier of seating just above the back of the ringsides...was well chuffed.

HaHa sweet!!!
I was surprised at the way the cards were organised at both Calzaghe shows actually. But i gues it ran as accurately as it could with Macca and Kahn scoring early stoppages. Iwas 4th row ringside, had been savin for months!!!
Mark Jennings v Takaloo was alri on the Manfredo bill.
Derek Chisera v Tony Booth was a Travesty.
