Risks, eh? Lewis knows all about that. Over 25 M-I-L-L-I-O-N DOLLARS..... OVER 25 Mill.... Your boy Lennox Lewis turned down for a rematch with Vitaly. And Lewis' trainer, Emanuel Steward, pleaded Lennox for a rematch.Â
Lewis knows something that I, Vitaly, and some members here saw, Lewis was being outboxed and he was near dead tired as he fell on his stool after the last round. Yeah, he deserved the win. It's just that, if he thought he was so badass, and "Like fine wine, I get better as I age" ... Why didn't he take the biggest payday of his career and TKO Klitschko again?
Throughout his career, Lewis was always ready to be taken, even if it was by a lucky punch. For a big man, he was fast, but against a fighter [Ali], who's speed made black and white footage turn grey with movement, he's just a big lug. First things Last, heavies keep growing as generations go by, and Ali has never fought such a tall opponent who fights tall like Lennox. And Lennox, in this BIG HEAVYWEIGHT AGE, has fought all short, tall, and big fighters, by the way, Vitaly's height gave HIM problem's he's never faced in his career. So it's difficult to compare Ali to these taller superheavyweights of today. All I really know is that Ali more killer instinct than most or any of the famous fighters today. And Ali always pulled it off when it mattered. The same can be said about Lennox, but he was cautious for a reason, he knew his chin wasn't that good. Sometimes your opponent doesn't give you the luxury of being cautious and it doesn't matter how tall you are. Ali stood up to the worst and the best tests. Lennox? Evander, who would later lose to Ruiz. Tyson, who we all know is a shell of 1989? Rahman, who couldn't even beat Ruiz?Â
Yeah Lennox' career is, first ballot hall of fame, it's legendary, it's great, but has he really faced a Mean, Baddass, Big, Knockout Artist, In his Prime Fighter? ? ? Ali has.
From 1965-67, I've never seen a Heavyweight move so gracefully across the ring. Not even lightweights have the energy to move that much and that consistently over 15 rounds..... well, maybe some. ;)Â
