Re: It's what you want. It's what I want. Let the predictions begin. Cotto - PBF
I was going to put all the names on but I'm a little lazy and there are just too many.
So far we got:
Mayweather => 28
Cotto => 4
I didn't count some for Cotto because, even though you were dabating very much in favor of Cotto, you never actually stated a prediction. So I suppose you are like me, and hope Cotto will win but would not put any money on it.
Those numbers kinda make me wonder why people wanna see it so bad, hardly anyone thinks he can win LOL.
I would like to see Cotto up against one of the other WW champions or maybe a big money fight with DLH first. But this fight needs to happend by the end of next year or the beginning of 2009.
Re: It's what you want. It's what I want. Let the predictions begin. Cotto - PBF
Well i have seen the fight and mayweather won by 2 or3 three rounds it was a close fight to me not a lopsided as people think it was close.

What fight ??
Re: It's what you want. It's what I want. Let the predictions begin. Cotto - PBF
The Oscar Fight i mean i had PBf 2 rounds ahead and i think he only won by 2 maybe 3 but no more then that.

I had Mayweather clearly ahead by at least 4 or 3 rounds, Mayweather was out landing Oscar De La Hoya in most rounds. And was landing the better quality blows, Oscar De La Hoya's flurries did not fool me one bit.

Yes you are right. The fight was not that one sided. I felt it was PBF by 2 rounds. I think people exagerate because they are discusted, as I am, at the fact that one of the Judges actually had Oscar winning.

It wasn't one sided but Mayweather did out box Oscar De La Hoya, and beat him by quite a wide margin by at least 4 or 3 rounds imo.

You have to get over that mate.
That's the way some people in this country are. Basically there are some people in America who are total twats. The sames here in England, the people who got off work to go and get pissed in America and watch the fight are basically the scum of Manchester/England. LOL

Fair comment, but depending on who's numbers you believe Junior Witter is in the top 40 of all time greatest light welter weights.
Junior Witter was beaten by a multipule world champion by 4 rounds to 8 on one score card.
I just think he should be given more credit. I mean no ones beaten him apart from "Super" Zab Judah when he was at his best.
They all say it will be easy, but they all say Hatton would give Mayweather a decent fight yet he only won 1 round.
I just think numbers arn't that cut and dry.

Point is Mayweather hasn't figured out the best fighters of his generation yet. Sure he has fought a few.
He even admitted to avoiding Shane Mosely. And only beating Delahoya with a SD.
He keeps saying he will retire and if he does he will be forever remembered as a nobody.
You also have to remeber Hatton is a light welter weight where as Cotto is a fully blown welter weight.
Just my opinion.
You don't actually believe the Oscar fight was
properly scored an SD, do you? I saw it 9-3. Oscar couldn't land a punch on Floyd to save his life. Not a close fight at all.
Did you see the "Sweet Pea" Vs "Golden Boy" fight and the 2nd Sergo moran Vs manfredo fight.
Fights are rarely scored correctly. Lot's of money in boxing. It always pays to be a favourite.
Here in England in domestic fights the Referee can be the sole judge on who wins the fight.
That's not fair.

So the fight could not have happened at anytime, Mosley moved back down to Welterweight in 2007 shutting out Collazo, then he was in line for his shot against Mayweather if he beat Cotto, but he lost and he isn't getting his shot simple as.

Come on the fight could of been arranged. Mayweather didn't want it. You can read about it, it's on another thread somewhere. Mayweather basically said he didn't want Cotto or Mosely.

[/quote] No actually it couldn't have, based on the weight classes they were at. I already just gave you the facts above why it couldn't have happened, Mosley would have got his shot had he beat Cotto but he didn't so Cotto will more than likely be getting his shot which is 100 percent fair.
Re: It's what you want. It's what I want. Let the predictions begin. Cotto - PBF
Umm. Like i said if you can read on another thread that it has been stated Mayweather said he would not entertain a fight with Cotto. And also saying that he wanted to aviod fighting Mosely.
I thought it was common knowlage that Mayweather said he wanted to avoid Moesly.
Obviously not. LOL

I have never heard of Mayweather saying he would never fight Mosley, and i doubt someone with Mayweather's ego would admit to avoiding a fighter. The only time the fight really could of happened was in 2007, and like i said Mosley would have got his shot but he lost to Cotto how hard is that to understand ??
Re: It's what you want. It's what I want. Let the predictions begin. Cotto - PBF
I recall Mayweather saying Mosely was pretty much the last fighter he wanted. Or words to that effect.
As for Mayweather not being able to fight Mosely what are you on. Mosely takes 5 months to go up and down in weight, which is plenty of time.
The second Fernando Vargas fight could of been called off easily.
I just don't understand why you think it was impossible for the fight to happen. LOL
