Daniel "Bad Hopkins Impersonator" Judah should have been KOed I don't know if Mack was maybe just trying to conserve to prove to himself he could make it to the final rounds or what. Mack had another KO resting in his hands and just didn't pull the trigger enough. Solid win for Mack though he was clearly dominant. I gotta echo the earlier comments about Mack's defense as well he looks like he'll be vulnerable against any pressure fighter.
That four rounder was the fight of the night for me, I want to see them go at it again, good power and bad chins equal skill level, can't ask for much more excitement than that.
Moore looked great for about a round, then Rosado (sp.?) let him taste the power and Moore was off his game for the rest of the fight.
All in all far to much posturing in the 8 and 10 round fights. If those guys used their energy to get some output going instead of shakin da booty they could have been much more entertaining fights.
Moore's jab is crap his defense is crap and his power was overrated by me....he really needs to improve. the 4 rounder was entertaining for the two guys having a total of 2 fights, or was it 3..Mack didn't raise his stock too much, and Judah looked like Chris Byrd all over again. 4 rounder was the best fight IMO.
Moore needs to learn how to throw a straight jab not paw with it. His right lacked power and the speed isn't there. He really has to improve to be any kind of contender....another shot down prospect in 08' the year of the upset lives ;)
I am very proud of Yusaf Mack tonight. He used his new found weapon the sharpe jab all night on Judah. His straight right and uppercuts where used wisley. Mack stamina really played a big time in the fight. HE LOOKED STRONG AND QUICK, but i do need to watch it again to get a better insight. It is just the start for great things. I am thinking about a fight against Spina or Muriqui. Unless we get a title shot and have at least 10 weeks to perpare per instuctons of Yusaf's trainner. I would love to here what everone thought about the fight. THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT WHO CAME OUT AND SAW Yusaf fight and all the other great fights.
Moore looked drained before the fight as well, Gabe did a great job and a great win for him.
So regarding Yusaf, I was a little surprised that Judah performed as well as he did but it made for a decent contest. Yusaf was always in control and landed the better shots, there is still a lot of work to do with the kid but he has great potential. I would say he is about 60% of the fighter I want him to be.
I'm watching it now. He looks in great shape. I wouldn't of even opened this thread but "Mack Wins!' was just posted so it spoiled it for me...my own fault I guess for looking in forum.
Anyway, yea, like what I see but early I think he coulda brought it on harder when judah was hurt and stumbling. I don't like his left so low. Even a sneaky southie could lay a right hook in there...I'm at round 8 now.
He is controlling the fight well.
Oh and grats to your guy. ;)
Thanks man, tried to rep but wouldn't let me, appreciate it man
Tell him to stop dropping his left hand. He's not quick enough to get away with that shit and a fighter who can punch will make him pay for it. If Judah had any power Mack could've been in a bit of trouble because he was taking unnecessary punches because he ignored his defense. Maybe he did it because he knew he could get away with it, but it's a dangerous habit to pick up.
Aside from that, he looked good and dominated Judah pretty much the whole time.
Judah is garbage. Mack is decent
Judah fought a tough fight he really did the best he could hats off to him Judah is Slick does not like to let his hands go though. Mack's legs are real stong plus his wind is at top level. I agree he should not drop his left in arms length, but if he is on the outside it really does not matter. Mack's camp says he is only 60%. So there is a ton of impovement to be made. We now have the NABA belt next we will have the WBA. Very exciting boxing is ahead for Mr. Mack.
I haven't seen too much of Mack, but word has it he's becoming pretty popular and is one of the good guys.
Looking forward to seeing more of him.
Judah was not that slick, and spent more time shaking his head no, than countering. Mack's left hand low does matter when he is on the outside to block a right hook I saw him put his right hand up and spin his whole upper body to block it, someone with some speed would have capitalized on that and with the position Mack's body was in would have probably put him down. This is not meant to be an insult just constructive criticism. I think Mack has the potential to be a great contender, but there are definately some fundamentals that need to be worked out. Good win for Mack though, this fight should open some doors for him.
