This fight aint a lot.
Okay, i know Hopkins is a marquee name still but am i wrong in saying that Pavlik must realise that he's a Marquee name now?
I read some where that Pavlik aint exactly interested in the fight. If so then fight someone else. Who needs Hopkins now anyway?
If you asked the average American who is Bernard Hopkins, or who is Kelly Pavlik, I'm not sure you'd find the same. Im from Canada and some of my friends(who know I'm into boxing) ask me about Hopkins from time to time. Don't really know why, but they know of him, and definetly not Pavlik. I think Hopkins is still a factor for whatever reason, wish he'd just retire to but there's probably noone else out there Pavlik could make near as muchy money fighting soon.Quote:

This is Arum trying to make Pavlik a cash cow, nothing more.
He knows he will make good money from HBO on this fight. He sees it as if he can get Pavlik to ride BHop's and Calzaghe's financial coattails, Pavlik is then suddenly a Marquee name if he beats them or loses a close fight. He thinks Bernard is shot enough to not beat Pavlik, and I think he is right.

If Pavlik comes in focused and in shape, He will have a late Ko over Hopkins, I know everyone saying that you can't knock out Hopkins..... Everyone can get knocked out like Mercer,Tyson,David Tua in the Amatuers and Holyfield. Also didn't a lot of Pavlik's last fighters never been knocked down before like Taylor, Zuetuche and some others. Don't be surprised if Hopkins takes a nap Oct 18th.Quote:
