This lead me to believe that there's some personal issues between Hoya and Pacquiao that needs to be settled on top of the ring...

And Now it looks like a DLH fight is almost a sure fight to happen. It will happen and this will be the Changing of the guard as the Money Man of Boxing. DLH's making the Top Dollar for years. After Pac retires him, Pac will be the one commanding this top Dollars.
We thought it was PBF who will be the Money man after DLH. BUt he ran out of Opponents he thinks he can beat. So his money stops there.
Assuming Pac beats DLH which is not easy but I believe Pac will win. Pac's next fight after that will be the top money maker in Boxing. Here's my projected PPV buys on Pac's remaining fights for Greatness.
Pac-DLH.... 2M PPV
Pac-Hatton....1.6M PPV(could be more if he KO DLH)
Pac-JMM......1.4M PPV(could be more if Pac KO Hatton)
Pac-PBF.....Will break all records. (Could be a trilogy) This will be like 2M X 3 PPV+MOre than 6M PPV buys.
If Pac still wants extra cash...
Pac vs Nate, Juan Diaz, Gamboa, Khan, or even Margarito(If he still on top which I doubt) is still a very Big Money Maker.
Your thoughts???
Dude your faith in PAC is unbelieveable but I commend you for that, this fight if it pushes thru is not a changing of guards but a tragedy for us Filipinos.

We all agree that it's primarily due to the huge money but Hoya already had so much money. Why he wanted to get into this loss-loss situation and suffer all the criticism thrown at him for picking a smaller warrior?
There must be something personal in this fight...
Re: Pac vd DLH will be another Changing of the Guard!!
As good as Pacman is he cannot win this, what will he do after this go after pavlik
Can Pacquiao's knives slice up Hoya's face?
In David Diaz interview after his Pacquiao fight, David said that he thought Pacquiao has knives in his gloves and thought that he was fighting Freddy Krueger...
It's the general perception of boxing people that Pacquiao can't KO Hoya but can Pacquiao's knives slice up Hoya's face that will lead to a TKO or decision win for PAC?
Here's some photos of Pacquiao's recent opponents.

By the way, I can understand clearly what the starter of this thread is saying but I just can't change my prediction that Pacquaio will be KOed against DLH.
If Pac wins then that will be great for the Philippines. As to becoming the bigger celebrity than DLH, I don't think so.
In the boxing world, he could be bigger than DLH if he wins this one but that's something only time will tell.
Re: Can Pacquiao's knives slice up Hoya's face?
Look at what Oscar fists did to the face of Wifredo Rivera, Fernando Vargas, Arturo Gatti and think what will happen to Pac's face

And they were also bigger fighters than Pac. Pac is a little guy, compared to Oscar. And he will get destroyed.

Sure... but do you think PAC can make one slice (cut) on Hoya's face?
Re: Can Pacquiao's knives slice up Hoya's face?
Honestly I've been out of the loop .
What weight is this going to be at?

Felix Trinidad couldn't. Ike Quartey couldn't. Ricardo Mayorga couldn't. Pac won't either
