So what your saying is PAC wins it against a "
super weak, super slow and super malnourished Oscar" well that solidifies the fact that
1) this fight proves nothing
2) is only for cash.
Well Oscar is still "super big, super tall and super reach"... It only even things up... That's what makes this fight very intriguing....
This match is very unique; and because of that uniqueness, boxing fans around the world will want to watch this fight...
.
Unique ?? So by that logic I should be yearning & hoping to see the next Valuev "The giant hairbear oddity" fight!.....This farce is a three ring circus in and of itself now that I think about it :bucktooth:

Yep 8 oz. gloves has devastating results at welter... Did you know Cotto and Margarito were using 8 oz. gloves in their recent fight?

If you're really that interested, you can go to Germany on August 30, 2008 in order to see the Nikolay Valuev vs. John Ruiz Rematch Fight at ringside...
To give you some insights, below is a photo from the first fight between the two... I guess it's a bit competitive... ;D

this will end badly for pac
Re: DelaHoya-Pacquiao Split Negotiations and Purse Talk!
70-30 purse split is not acceptable to Pacquiao. I'm not sure if one party will make a compromise and meet in the middle...
Re: DelaHoya-Pacquiao Split Negotiations and Purse Talk!
I hope this fight ends up happening now... Although Pac has said otherwise... I just want them to fight now cuz of his fans... Once Oscar blasts him out of there all his fucking minions will dispers back into the great abyss from which they came.
I hate blind Pac fans... I FUCKING HATE THEM
That PacBest2 guy is anoying as shit!
(Mind you I don't speak of all Pac fans... Just the totally bias retarded ones)

Why the hell would de la Hoya compromise, he holds the winning hand, the crowd draw. There are plenty of fighters that would take a 25% (still equal to their career high pay days)
Not taking the 30% split just shows PAC is just looking for a payday.

You can associate "greed and money" on Oscar but not on Pacquiao. Do you think money is the prime motivating factor why Pacquiao is calling out and challenging Oscar? I don't think so coz a win over Oscar will elevate Pacquiao's boxing legacy in an all time high.
Defeating Oscar (tho a very difficult task for PAC) would give PAC more leverage in taking remaining bigger fights ahead.
Why did PAC back out again? Oh yeah MONEY, NOTHING BUT MONEY!!
Re: DelaHoya-Pacquiao Split Negotiations and Purse Talk!
Per the fingers & brains of fightnews.com...Freddie Roach is pushing hard to try & talk Pacquiao into the Oscar fight. He says that fighting Soto is ridiculous.
Now I know that everyone loves Roach...but he's a gotdam fool.
Beating Soto is one step closer to unifying the division.
Beating Oscar is just a payday & another name on the bill...it means nothing. Oscar has fallen the fwock off & he's bringing nothing but cash to the table.
Boxing fans of days long gone may want to see this fight...or even casual goers that have heard the Oscar tagline...but dedicated fight fans & Pac fans either do or should want the Soto fight to materialize.
Pacquiao could make & break the division.
After that he should just continue onwards where he is, unify, & then move up to the next class & try to work his magic there.
WTF is wrong with this trainers?
Roach is either wanting to earn some green or he's got himself an axe to grind with Golden Bwoy Promotions, Oscar, & the Hops.
I suppose that we shall all just have to see.
Personally...Pac could earn a lot more fans by making a stand in the right spot...especially at lightweight & beyond...provided he works it correctly.
Honestly...I'd be ready to jump on board the fan train...provided he fought with his head. He's a good fighter, he's exciting, & all that...he's just not necessarily the type of fighter I like to follow.
But as I said...I'd love to see him stand & deliver...to me that's more important than fighting an old horse who's going to be a HOF'er based on his better days long gone.
Feel me?

Anyone knows (even Oscar fans, or prior Oscar fans such as mesef!) that if you go looking for Oscar...that is all you get...a payday.
Oscar has'nt been Oscar for nearly 5 years now. He's lost more than he's won & it's painfully apparent that he's hardly even a shadow of his former self. I hate it...because Oscar used to be gutty & put on a show...now he flurries on the ropes here & there.
I just wish that he'd stick to promoting & making boxing better for the fans & the players...because honestly...he can do it.

You think Roach has some sour grapes left over from the Mayweather/ODLH fight?
Re: DelaHoya-Pacquiao Split Negotiations and Purse Talk!
What ever his deteriorated skill set,Its clear and obvious Delahoya is very much the shot caller in this hyped up farce and Pac "needs" him.....not the other way around.
Pac has more than a few worthy challengers in his own neighborhood with Campbell,Guzman,Soto etc. and should get down to serious business inside the ring.

I think that it could be something along those lines or he's searching for fame & fortune through Pac...you never know...& I aint saying I do...I'm just speculating.
It's a bit weird though...lovin up to Oscar & then being the man to drop the ax on him.
Maybe Hopkins pissed in his cornflakes or shat in his salad or something. ;D
Honestly though...Roach needs to clam the fuck up & let Pacquiao do the right thing...or what's right in Wacko's erpinion... :o :p

Agreed.
There are plenty of names out there to conquer at lightweight...even after unification.

It's respect for asking a fair share of the purse and asking what is due to him. If you learn to share more to your fellow deserving boxer then it's a sign of mutual respect. But if you want to monopolize the purse (say taking 70%) then it's a clear sign of greed for money.
Good that PAC turned down the unfair 70-30 offer from Oscar. PAC showed that Oscar can't impose his will on everybody everytime. Better for Oscar to retire now.
