OK so it makes good sense for the future of the division to not build Haye into a guy who infact deserves a title shot and perhaps build his fanbase up more???? Not everyone can be Joe Calzaghe or Ricky Hatton. I get it, you Brits are all excited about your boy getting a chance and all, all I'm saying is that Haye and his fans would be better off being patient and earning a title fight rather than being an asshole and forcing one through.
David Haye might be an exciting talent but he has a lot of questions to answer at heavyweight. We've seen Haye hurt, we've seen Haye KO'd....were those due to cutting weight or were those the result of his physical abilities? Can David Haye muscle up vs a bigger fighter? Does David Haye's power carry? Can David Haye BOX? Can David Haye last 12 rounds?
It makes sense to me financially and just for the sake of the sport, to build Haye up with quality wins over quality opponents and hell if Haye is like Audley Harrison and is just faking his way through boxing then he can hand pick some opponents! Forcing this fight to happen is a terribly terribly bad idea, I thought Wlad was 100% ready for Lennox Lewis before I saw the Corrie Sanders fight and now I can look back and see the inexperience and still RAW tools Wlad was working with...I hope you David Haye fans are able ot do the same and look at this injury as a blessing. Michael Grant never recovered, you wouldn't want that for David Haye would you?

Lyle I agree 100%, I've always thought he had a puncher's chance versus Wlad but would like to see him grow into the weight and learn the division first. He does have the talent and potential to do so.
What I don't agree with is comparing Haye to Fraudley though... we know he's much better... not only has he battered him in sparring a few times but the majority of A-Force's opposition has been pumped up cruisers that he has looked lacklustre against.

OK, so David Haye isn't a 100% fraud.....is he a legit heavyweight?? We can't really say for certain can we? I know he beat Bonnin and Barrett, but Audley had already KO'd Bonnin so that's not really spectacular and Monte Barrett was enjoying a resurgence in his career because he KO'd Tye Fields who is more of a basketball player than a boxer. Monte had lost to Wladimir 9 years ago but more recently he got KO'd by Cliff Couser in 2! Nothing Haye did at cruiserweight really wowed me either...Enzo Maccarinelli isn't all that great and therefore a win over him doesn't mean much in my book.

I agree completely....and had Haye fought injury or no injury #1 People would still complain about Wladimir Klitschko #2 People would still make excuses for David Haye.
These Haye fans whilst loyal and devoted as they come, need to look in the mirror, they are being delusional with a guy who in all honesty could be a decent fighter BUT they are willing to ruin him 23 fights in to his career just so David Haye doesn't have to fight his way to the top like everyone else. They deny it's because Haye lacks skill, they say he's already talented enough to beat Wladimir, but correct me if I'm wrong but David Haye has never competed on that high of a level before.
I CARE about David Haye and his success in boxing and that's why I didn't want this fight so soon. I want Wladimir to fight the best and beat the best so why not let Haye mature into something dangerous instead of throwing him in with the big dog while he's still a puppy??

Nobody is going to deny that haye got his shot by insulting Wlad, that's news to nobody... don't make out like he put an epic ammount of effort into it though... it didn't exactly take him a marathon of trouble to get there did it?
Being undisputed Cruiserweight Champ put him in a position where he felt he could get a fight if he asked loudly enough... he did and WLAD accepted.
I'm sure if Wlad still hadn't taken the fight Haye would now be campaigning at heavyweight to earn more credibility but the fact of the matter is that after a very small ammount of trash talking WLAD TOOK THE FIGHT. #1 Wlad isn't hurt and rarely is hurt, Vitali is the one who gets hurt as he has been fighting for much longer and in kickboxing as well.
#2 I don't care what race, religion, or nationality David Haye is HE'S NOT READY!
#3 So you agree Haye is a COMMERCIAL and not a Contender
#4 Very few fighters in the entire history of boxing are able to move up to heavyweight and accomplish anything.
Is it so wrong of me to want Wladimir to fight Haye when Haye has a better chance??? I think if the fight lasted for more than 6 rounds it would be better for the sport.

Of course not... I don't think that Wlad is afraid to fight Haye but I also don't think that Haye is afraid to fight Wlad either. Doesn't the contract say he has to have an independent doctor come and check him over? If so he's probably not going to risk making it up.
