I dont particularly rate haye but i sure as hell dont think he`ll come up short against a guy who struggled agains travis walker!!
Funny thing is every single poster has Haye beating Arreola. Yet, Haye has only fought one top 50 heavyweight. Does the confidence really stem from the differences in physiques?
Struggled? He knocked Travis Walker out in 3 rounds!
I don't particularly think Cris should have much trouble against a guy who struggled against Monte Barret!
If the fight came off, it would be one of the most exciting heavyweight fights in a long time.
Travis Walker is a domestic level heavyweight who almost stopped Areolae in the first round. Either guy is going to struggle anywhere above NABF level. Neither guy has a chance against Haye.
Uhmm. Who has David Haye fought at heavyweight better than Travis Walker?

Almost stopped him?!?! He only knocked him down once....but you know who Travis Walker could stop??? DAVID HAYE
Areolae and Walker are just domestic level fighters. The only reason Areolae even gets mentioned for world title fights is that he's the only American HBO think the public will see as a credible opponent, he's the only one they can sell. When he eventually steps up he'll get beaten, he's just a big fat plodder.

Do you honestly think Walker is anything more than a domestic level heavy? He's not even the best NABF-level American, Areolae is. Haye beats either guy like a gong.

Still waiting for Haye to actually face a live body at Heavyweight. How much can you gauge from a used up Barret. And he was a bit blotchy there I believe.
Arreola is a tubby live by the punch, die by the punch sort living fight to fight.Willing to take two to land one and not one to pizz on your leg and tell you its raining. And hes totally at ease with that.I think that calm but focused demeanor and sence of what he is gives him a big mental advantage.I just dont think Haye has the physical make up to come in on Chris and deal with what he'll be hit with.Haye seems to be wound waaay to tight and up to this point,he's done more fighting with his mouth vs. the Heavys than his fist.I think Arreola knocks him out in a mutual train wreck of a good scrap. This ain't no body building contest.
Re: Haye v Arreola anybody?
I don't see Haye-Arreola happening. Arreola's handlers are going to hold for the big payday against Wlad. They're not going to risk missing out on that payday by going up against Haye.
I'd like to see Haye-Arreola, but I just don't think it's in the cards for now.
Re: Haye v Arreola anybody?
Kirkland...at least Walker and Arreola are "domestic level fighters" AT HEAVYWEIGHT which is more than David Haye can say.
Also Cris Arreola gets mentioned for title fights because #1 He's undefeated and #2 He's fought his way up the rankings.....two things David Haye wouldn't know much about
Re: Haye v Arreola anybody?
I don't understand what makes Haye seem invincible? What are Haye's positives besides of course his tee-shirt making ability?
His most exciting wins were over a worn out Jean Marc Mormeck who had previously gone life and death with O'Neil Bell and Enzo Mac who was probably the most overhyped fighter ever in the cruiserweight division. And Mormeck put Haye down! If Mormeck can do it, how about a strong heavyweight?
Haye is also notable for having a rough time with 36 year old 5'9 1/2 Fragomeni (not a bad fighter but horribly outsized and much older) and being knocked out by Carl Thompson.

I'll favor Walker over Gaye

Projection is somebody having his ass tatted with a fighters picture. Taking that fighters name as his username. And telling everybody that he knows that fighter and that he comes over and drinks tea with him. Ain't that right "Kirkland". LOL
Re: Haye v Arreola anybody?
I like Arreola as a fighter and I like Haye also both are about the only exciting heavyweights around at the moment IMO -apart from Tyson Fury (seriously) and he is at least 2 years away from being ready for world level opposition. I'm not sure that I would like to call a fight between haye and Arreola though as IMO Haye's chin is suspect but his punch is big and Arreola's chin is strong but his punch is suspect. I watched Arreola's fight against Damian Willis again the other day and I was shocked by how many punches Arreola hit Willis with in the second round without hurting him - He has fast hands, I just don't thing that he is a hard hitting heavy. Then again, if you have fast hands do you need to be a hard-hitting heavy vs David Haye?
If I had to call, I'd say that Haye would edge it but i would not be surprised either way tbh.

I'm not sure what you're talking about but you appear to be the forum expert on projection so I'll bow to your greater knowledge. :)
