The version of a flabby JMM that fought Floyd will be murdered by Pac in 2 if they fight at 140 or 147 today, imo. Floyd made JMM up by 15 lbs then cheat him on the scale winning by a mere decisions.
Pac fights JMM at his best weights. On their rematch Pac reportedly on the verge of not making the 130 lbs thus the lucklaster performance though still manage to reconfigure JMM's face (while pretty clean after Floyd fights) and put him on his pants. I guess its the reason why pac jumps on higher weights right after the JMM rematch.
The new and improved Manny Pacquiao began after the JMM rematch not before. I dont think Floyd can apply his coward fighting style with pac. pac by ko, less than 6.
you're retarded if you couldn't clearly see that Floyd could have had Marquez out of there by the 5th if he wanted to, he already seriously rocked and hurt Marquez when he dropped him in the 2nd, thing is Floyd took his foot off the gas right after, he pulled a Roy Jones (the Felix Trinidad fight, Tito was done by the 6th), it is very well known that Mayweather is a safety first fighter, and theres no doubt in my mind that he only let Marquez go the distance because he wanted to get rounds in due to the long layoff, IMO Pacquaio still made obvious mistakes against Cotto, and he'll pay dearly against Mayweather, Floyd by UD
I wouldn't say Floyd carried him per se but there are lots of reasons why a fighter may not go for the kill. As you say, get the rounds in, respect for the opponent, LACK of respect for the opponent if you're giving them a beat down for 12 rounds, to show your skills in how much better you are....

yea let me rephrase that, cause i definitely wouldn't say that Floyd carried him, but i do think that if he would have applied more pressure that he could have gotten him out of there and quite brutally

I agree. There seem to be a lot of people who now believe that Pacquiao is some sort of unbeatable superhero and Mayweather is not fit to lace his boots - a complete role reversal from a few months ago and largely thanks to the many Pac "superfans" that post on this board (I'm looking at you fanjohn amongst others).
Pac is a very good boxer, no question but IMO there are going to be a lot of red faces admitting that they got wrapped up in all the hype when this is all over...
Floyd by comfortable stoppage for me.
If you can agree that Mayweather will beat Pac then why you seem bother by those opinions favors Pac? After all these "superfans" that youre saying has proven correct time and time again when every body says Hoya will kill pac, Hatton will just walk over pac, Cotto is too strong, etc..I am not a solid fan just voicing my opinion.
Re: Pacquiao vs Mayweather who wins?
I think it will go down similar to the Mayweather - Marquez fight. I think Pacquiao will have his moments maybe, but eventually Mayweather will start teeing off on him.
Mayweather has all the advantages. I think at a push, he can stop Manny.
Problems will start if Mayweather doesn't use much movement because Pac can outwork him. But i think he's smart enough to move. Pac is relentless but Floyd is so accurate. Providing he gets on his bike, he'll have a field day.

yea no way that Mayweather can be as stationary against Pacquiao as he was against Marquez

I think Pac is a very good fighter but he's also a very fortunate one.
Hoya WAS weight drained, Hatton was never elite, Cotto was too stupid.

Mike - I'm not bothered by people favouring Pacquiao - just amused at how caught up in Pac hype people are getting. He seems to be a fighter who has a hardcore army of those who believe he will win every fight because of who he is. He is a great fighter no question but people on this site are talking about him as the greatest of all time and that (again in my opinion) in nonsense.
You are perfectly entitled to your opinion as I am to mine and we will see who is rightcome fight night. If you are correct then I will be the first to congratulate you but I, honestly, cannot see how it is going to happen.

Ok. Anyway, pac says he's only an ordinary fighter.
Hoya, Hatton, Cotto are great fighters to me.

I was just saying this to somebody last week. Pacquiao, whilst being brilliant, has been fortunate.
Re: Pacquiao vs Mayweather who wins?
there will be questions, like what happens if floyd get caught flush? it's similar question in pacquiao-cotto where people asking what happens if cotto lands his body shots on pacquiao.

They are in their own right but ignoring OScar (because he was drained heavily), Hatton and Cotto did completely the wrong thing. Trading with Pac is the wrong way to beat him. He is faster, so he will more than likely land harder and more regularly.

however - you seem to be unable to entertain the idea of more than 1 outcome of his fights. Hugger

Im interested to know what reason ya will give IF PAC beats PBF, ring-rust, wrong weight, he wasnt wearing his lucky pants maybe ;)

there will be questions on pacquiao too. can pacquiao deal with floyd's speed and accuracy?
Re: Pacquiao vs Mayweather who wins?
Before I even begin to seriously comprehend a Mayweather/ Pacquiao fight. I think it's necessary to re-assess Marquez' chances against Pacquiao anywhere north of 140.
At the moment it seems that Pacquiao has grown into an equally potent model of his former 130 self. Which is bad news for Marquez. I dunno.
