Re: Tyson Fury - Derick Chisora fight thread
He looked O.K imo. Surprised that he was still throwing shots in the 12th, I thought he sould be fooked. Chisora was a disgrace. 260 + pounds at 6 ft 2 = lazy fat waster!
Let's face it Fury is sh1te and although he is very likeable, he is borderline retard!
All the talk of him been badly hurt in the 2nd, I just didn't buy that - yeh he got caught with a couple, but the main one where he staggered back was not a great shot and he clearly wasn't hurt.
I think the lad done well and put in a really honest, hard workign performance.
I'd like to see him in with David Price, who is the best imo, of our very poor bunch of heavyweights.

I agree and though its early days i believe that Price will prove to be pretty special and would Ko Chisora or Fury within 6 or 7 rounds.
Re: Tyson Fury - Derick Chisora fight thread
Iv just read about Fury. Hennesey wants him to fight Rogan for the Irish title next and that will also be on 5. He wants Tyson to have his next 5 or 6 fights on 5 which will make him massive. Shame he didnt do that with Froch!
People are forgetting hes only 22 and genuinely it is hard to find him opponents. I agree he needs to change trainers but now hes made a name gir himself he will afford better opponents and last night he proved he can keep a good pace. I do think he has decent power, he just needs more fights to get his timing and distance sorted. Those little pitter pat punches, iv seen people complaining about them but you see alot of the top fighters do it. I think it helps get their rythm and open the opponents defence.
The only thing I didnt like is the panic and static high defence, allowing the opponent to work. Rogan will be another good learning fight. He needs fighters with ambition to go against him from now on, no walk overs just to make a show.

Tyson Vs Rogan would be another war.
Rogan throws wide shots like Chirosa but has a much better work rate and will come to fight in tip top condition.

Fair play to the lad for forging a career in boxing with so many outside distractions in his life.
He is twat. That good enough for you?
Re: Tyson Fury - Derick Chisora fight thread
I can't believe this Chisora guy was going to fight Wlad Klitschko at one time and yet somehow he lost to Tyson Fury !?
Jesus Christ he would have gotten massacred by Wlad then.
From what I've seen of Fury he is only about a step above Tye Fields. He's a big clumsy lop dick that throws arm punches with little power or weight behind them.
Surprised he could go 12 rounds. Thats impressive from a stamina perspective at least.

He's a lot better than Fields, but he's still a steaming pile of horse sh1t ;)
Re: Tyson Fury - Derick Chisora fight thread
I want to see Fury fight David Price now, I think that he needs to wrap up the UK demostic scene and move on. Would be happy to see a Rogan fight too. I think he still has a lot to learn at 22 and he shouldnt rush into any title fights. He needs to defend his commonwealth and British titles a couple of times and move onto Euro level. If he keeps up his performances I can see him being able to beat the standard american heavyweights too. He needs to progress though, those 12 rounds would have been a good learning curve for him though. well done fury!

You can't just say that on the one hand he's much better than Fields, but on the other hand he'd get mullered by David Price. Price has done absolutely nothing to show he's a decent fighter so far, and has already been rattled a few times.

When did I say he'd get mullered by Price
Re: Tyson Fury - Derick Chisora fight thread
I thought Fury done ok to be honest , did what he had to do against a very one dimensional fighter, just wish he had a more afforitive jab , though he did say after the fight his left hand was not right , but overall i think the kid will have a good future , needs a new trainer very soon still very green so now is the time to get rid of his bad habits , give the guy a break only had 15 fights and still a baby at HW at 22 ,seems a good guy as well , so good luck to him :)

Okay, so you said that Price was the best of a bad bunch of heavyweights, but I don't see the logic that Price has done anything to justify such an accolade.
However, the fight with Dallas was an eliminator, so that makes him Fury's mandatory challenger for British and Commonwealth titles, so looks like your theory could get tested.

Agreed, he hasn't done anything great, I just like the look of him and think he's better than the others.

the term is "did ok" not done ok you idiot
Re: Tyson Fury - Derick Chisora fight thread
There were a few nice clean straight rights and right uppercuts that would have dropped Price. Hes been dropped a few times. Price beat Fury handily in the amateurs but I think Fury will just get better in the pros.
