this link is for the idiot AdamGB who thinks I got the opinion about Mav rocking Lewis frm haters and fair weather friends. Sounds like AdamGB is eating hallucinogenic mushrooms.
Note round 7 how the 200 pound light-hitting vegetarian Mavrovic really staggers Lewis with about a 12 punch combination. Yeah AdamGB, I know its tough to understand how a person can form their own opinion; you better work on that knee-jerk reaction you have that people who disagree with you must have gotten their opinion from "haters".
Thanks for the vid Brock. That 12 punch combo was where Mavrovic made his big mistake. I think Lewis was mainly concentrated on who he was going to screw that night and the combo woke him up. Big mistake by Mav. Did you see what Lewis replied with at 3:17? That little poke under Mav's heart nearly turned him inside out. And that right nearly decapitated him.
However, having said that, Mav didn't go down. I shouldn't bring Helenius into this picture because the thread's about Lewis, but here it is. I think Helenius would have put him down with the same two punches.
Lewis was just trying stuff out in that fight. He wasnt at his best going against a mandatory unknown so he just went through the motions. He moved alot that night and with Holyfield coming up he wanted to test the water and go 12. He never tried to take Maveric out so you cant read too much into that fight. When Lewis did turn it on he was in a different league.
How good was Lennox Lewis? - Very good, maybe even the best.

OK. Fighter A won B, B won C. Now everybody are sure A destroyed C. However in real life C many times will win A.
Just think about Ali-Frazier-Foreman. Or Leonard-Hearns-Duran. You propably understand my idea?
