I checked out a couple of other forums and it was about an even split of who was prettier. I like the tall one though a bit more of a twinkle in the eye I guess. Of course having a few brews I am sure Rosie ODonnell would look like a goddess at that point.

I'll eat crow. I thought Kermit was a live dog in that one. I was 100% wrong. Cintron is a shot fighter who has nothing left.

Cintron is a gatekeeper now that will only be thrown in against young fighters to get somewhat of a name on their record. I think it should have been stopped when he could barely walk back to his corner.

As Max said, all the opponents on this card were picked for a reason. These are the kind of cards that are somewhat tiresome and don't really tell you all that much about the A-side fighters. What did we really learn from the performances by Broner, Russell Jr. or Alvarez?

What pisses me off, like I said in another thread, is that when Kermit finally gets hurt..... THAT'S when he comes out firing bombs with murderous intentions. WTF? Where was all that anger in the first 3 rounds?

Well basicly that their being matched really good to make them seem like superstars

Deontay Wilder won with 1 punch...nice, but now its time to step up the competition.

Cintron's will to fight has been broken. He would be a good choice for Kirkland to fight next.

There's no problem with promoters putting their young prospects in the ring against opponents with no legit chance to win.

The problem is when HBO thinks those fights are television-worthy.

There's no problem with building up a fighter with big wins like the ones we saw this last weekend. The only issue is whether the matche-up is HBO caliber. As a subscriber, although I didn't agree with the decision necessarily, the only fight of Broner's THREE fights on HBO in 2011, which was good and competitive was against Ponce De Leon. Broner was on HBO as much as any other fighter in the world. Ponder that one for a minute. Are you satisfied with that? He's one of the reasons why HBO's acronym has been mocked as Haymon Boxing Organization.

It's similar to seeing Berto fighting sub-par opposition. I guess where I come out on this is that as long as HBO isn't paying Broner or Russell Jr. very much for fights against no-hopers, and saving their money to spend on quality fights later in the year, I don't have a big problem with it. Paying Berto $1M out of its budget to face Freddy Hernandez is a problem because it limits their ability to make other more competitive fights.

I get the feeling that Cintron was just a feast for Alvarez but the match up wasn't his idea, totally because we have promoters and handlers with an agenda and they all claim to love their client until his screws up and loses. Alvarez is more than ready to fight the so called elite, maybe. I think he needs to be in the shark infested waters with the other sharks. He's young and because of his background he is patient and more than ready to get the bucks and fight often, retiring early. He is active and will probably carve a name in stone for himself unless he starts believing his own press. He's one of those that can be a shot of adrenalin on fight night and keep fans interested.
