It's frustrating for me,
an American Olympian I really really want to root for him.
Being an American Olympian used to mean something to me, but not anymore.

Didn't he say it was a title fight? If so that would be
Cotto (WBA), Alvarez (WBC), Baysangarov (WBO) or K-9 (IBF)
My money is on K-9
Kirkland has a fight in March, and of course Cotto is spoken for, so my money is on Alvarez.
Well I just lost my money, I just read that Alvarez and Mosley have agreed in terms to fight.

Good to see Mosley finally stepping up :D
I kid, I kid
Re: Demetrius Andrade vs. Angel Hernandez - FNF thread - Feb. 10th
Mosley-Alvarez? Now thats keeping it all in the family :-X
Jabs kill Canelo, if only Shane hadn't disowned his moons ago. IF Mosley does not mind pizzing where he sleeps and eats....I give him a semi chance in that one.

Mosley needs to take him out early, I don't think he'll have anything down the stretch. It is a real possibility, even if not likely.

So Delvin Rodriguez vs Kirkland? Lara? Trout???
Diane, you're the best!
:-*
Well, I just thought of this one, and it would be a title fight, a title fight that Devlin could win, and that's against K-9 Bundrage. Poor K-9 keeps calling everyone out at 154, and no one will give him the time of day, so I can see Devlin going for his IBF title.

G'night mo-fos, Vitali vs. Chisora next saturday afternoon. (for those interested)
Cheers
Re: Demetrius Andrade vs. Angel Hernandez - FNF thread - Feb. 10th
enjoyed the FNF last night , first time i have been up and wa\tched it live....fecking college basketball lol
serrano i dont think will go much further than the level hes at the now...hes a knockout waiting to happen , i had him winning the fight though 97-92
Andrade did what he had to do against a late late replacement. hernandez at least came to fight and it was exciting as it lasted. Andrade has to move up in class NOW , he has stayed at this level for a few years now.
Re: Demetrius Andrade vs. Angel Hernandez - FNF thread - Feb. 10th
serrano was OK
Andrade is quality, hope he goes far.

This kid is turning pro after the Olympics this year. If anyone will make you proud of them this kid MIGHT
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qp1zxvErmZs
He was also on the HBO Freddie Roach special I believe, was the black kid with cornrows.

Just caught a download of the Andrade fight. Can't believe they celebrated so much fighting a guy who turned in on 2 days notice, even lifting Andrade aloft and parading him round the ring like he was just crowned lineal champ or somethin. Ha.

I've been following Warren for years now just like you. I think he's stayed an am for too long though. He's a great talent no doubt, I just don't think it will translate to the pros, too many bad am habits.

I hope that it will, I would have wanted him to turn pro after the 2008 Olympics, but he wants that gold medal, so hopefully he gets it this year and turns professional and can move along fast enough to get somewhere. He's only 24 but that's usually when an Olympian has 2 years or so under their belt but I think he could work his way to a world title shot by the age of 27 or so if he translates well into the pro game which isn't too bad really so he isn't as far behind as I thought he'd be.
