Re: Wladimirs resume is excellent...
No body said Lewis was not beatable, he was as he lost a couple of fights but he would have beaten the Klit brothers. None of their opponents can compare with Lennox, they may have the same common opponent but they were all old by the time they fought the Klit brothers.
Joe Fraiser destroys Byrd like Tua did.
If an old Holmes could out box Mercer then Sonny would too.

You mean Joe Frazier loses to Chris Byrd...because Chris Byrd BEAT David Tua pal.
Wladimir can't make the boxers in the division better than they are right now so stop bellyaching about it, stop complaining about Wlad, Wlad's doing his job he gets paid to stay in shape and knock people out and that's exactly what he does.
If we're knocking divisions then Holmes & Tyson need mentioning because there's not a guy they beat that Wlad couldn't beat

I meant Ike not Tua my mistake. I am not knocking Wlad but I am not fooled by the opposition either. They are bad. Nots Wlads fault and he is an excellent man.

I think Tua is the better comparison. Ike went in swinging with both hands, Tua had a very good left hook, but his right was harder to land, the punch still have KO power but never got to Byrd who had one heck of a chin by the way. I look back and wonder about that match that almost came about Wladimir vs David Tua. I think wlad could have been the guy to stop Tua.
Larry Holmes had a whole bunch of young fighters around, when Tyson came along he had the crumbs of the Holmes era and then some very inconsistent fighters to go up against.
I don't think Wlad has much trouble if any with the guys Holmes & Tyson fought.

Yeah cuz they weren't really trying to hit him, huh? It just sort of happened. Lucky punches? Come the fuck on. No such thing in Boxing. They in the ring to punch. Punch they did. And Lewis couldn't take the punch. How is it luck?

Its lucky he underestimated them.
Re: Wladimirs resume is excellent...
The irony of Lewis being called out for being ko'd twice in a thread about the -excellence- of Wlad is golden ;D

I hope u are kidding?
First off tommy morrison is a self confessed steroid cheat:
Morrison on how steroids helped him:
"I wouldn't have gone as far as I did, I guarantee you that. I probably would have fought as a cruiserweight. When I was in training, if I didn't have that extra fifteen to twenty pounds, I would have fought there. I always had the power and the speed, I just needed the endurance, which was my problem."
He wouldn't get passed todays much more stringent testing, especially riddled with the amounts he used to use!
Morrison would go with the first decent punch wlad connected with! Even the younger, more susceptible wlad would probably take him out quick...Morrison is not on wlad's level!

U keep mentioning lewis, It's the first and last defense in the haters arsenal. Without any real contribution to the topic at hand u have posted twice pontificating the greatness of lennox lewis! That suggest's more about u than it does about the topic at hand.
Wlad did much better against there common opponents and was willing to fight ppl lewis avoided i.e byrd and sanders so dont be so cock sure. I posted the lewis pics because a post implied lewis was a cut above, untouchable! When in reality he wasn't (even younger wlad was capable of doing anything mcall and rahman could!) He was in retreat mode for 12 rounds vs tua, bruno was outjabbing him mercer just did a no. on him! Even steward admitted he was unsure that lewis won before the decision was read out!
Prime wlad vs lewis is a 50/50 fight and vitali vs lewis (barring injuries) goes to the wire...I think u will find Vitali was winning on the scorecards and the fight was stopped by a cut correct? I also believe lewis was asked by the WBC to honour his rematch and he retired forthwith after never giving any indication of doing so prior to this point! Lewis relinquished all his belts this time rather than the IBF one LOL. I saw no superiority on lewis' part in that fight at all, cut's happen.
I think ppl feel threatened by what the klitschkos represent so they re-hash a fight that happened a decade ago on 11 days notice (which i have always found to be strange considering no one ever really brings up i.e oliver mcall when talking about lennox lewis!). A fighter's entire career should be taken into consideration not one loss, I think vitali became a much smarter fighter with age anyway...
Get used to them because they are the first of many...Borders open (approximately in the year 2000) and Eastern-Europeans enter the arena! Within a decade Americans lose all their titles to Eastern-Europeans. And then they go on and produce 2 linear champs too...
Chris byrd beats most of lewis' opponents let alone wlad! If u disagree then give me 5 who would beat him.
