In fairness it was a pretty throwaway line. Its simplicity was testament to that. I am surprised it even elicited a response. I won't try to defend it as it just is what it is. However, there is really very little crime here and unlike America or England, there is very little chance of me being raped. In America I would be raped by the entire female population, but here I have a steady chance being married.
