Re: Ward versus Rodriguez card HBO/Box Nation
I'd like to see the punch stats numbers on the ref.

man u hate on ward so much....did he fuck your moms or some shit?
Re: Ward versus Rodriguez card HBO/Box Nation
Ward nailed it on Rodriquez. Edwin knew what his role was here, and accepted it
Re: Ward versus Rodriguez card HBO/Box Nation
I love boxing, but I know what I like, and I have seldom enjoyed an Andre Ward fight. This had all the Ward trademarks. Hugging, butting, absurd nickname and attempts at cheating. Take away those and I would like him more.

I don't like his style nor attitude, but what does that have to do with anyone's mother? Have a little self respect, anonymous internet person who clearly enjoys ugly boxing.
Re: Ward versus Rodriguez card HBO/Box Nation
The ref took a glancing left hook impressively. :)

Oops, didn't mean to like that post. You're about the stupidest smart person I've ever encountered Miles, and you offer absolutely nothing but negativity in regards to boxing around here. It was a good performance from Ward, who gives a fuck what you think.
Re: Ward versus Rodriguez card HBO/Box Nation
To be fair to Miles, Ward fights can be quite ugly. They usually have plenty of clinching and mauling. Same as Hopkins... maybe not quite as much. Tonight he definitely showed his superiority over Rodriguez. But it wasn't pretty, and not all of it was Rodriguez's fault. There was plenty of holding by Ward... most of it sneaky and out of sight of the ref. The holding down of the head.... the grappling. And then Ward has the nerve to complain about Rodriguez's tactics. C'mon man. Anyway, it was entertaining enough. At least Rodriguez kept trying to get back in the fight. He just didn't belong there.

You should try your hand at comedy.
So should you. Using the word incredible to describe any aspect of that fight is utterly hilarious.
Nice. I like those "I know you are but what am I" responses. The guy has incredible feet, incredible defense, uses his eyes like Floyd does and rarely if ever gets hit cleanly. He has incredible punch selection, a mule kick for a jab and rarely misses a punch. Other then that he's pretty regular.

I agree, Gandalf must not like precise combos.
Re: Ward versus Rodriguez card HBO/Box Nation
Classy send from Lampley for producer
Re: Ward versus Rodriguez card HBO/Box Nation
I didn't think Ward was that dirty at all tonight:confused: His footwork and radar are tremendous. The other guy only came to spoil and try to make it a street fight, and he was tough as nails.
Re: Ward versus Rodriguez card HBO/Box Nation
Willie Nelson out of the Macklin fight ? Honestly a good move for Willie

Am I supposed to say "Oh, I love the grappling, it stimulates me. Also, please keep on attempting to break the rules and get disqualified and most certainly headbutt the other guy at the end to put the icing on the cake". Forgive me for not being on the point of orgasm like some other people.
I couldn't give a hoot if anyone agrees with me, I follow my path. My point of view is as valid as anyone's and some just don't like that I would be mean to the self annointed, American SOG, who also happens to be the dirtiest man in boxing. He's a cheat.
My posts are not always negative, but they are when they talk about negative things. Ward is a negative boxer.
Re: Ward versus Rodriguez card HBO/Box Nation
Ward has an incredible jab and as others have said he is on the money with the combos. Good tune up fight for him. Thank God for the ref or that could've been a stinker. He should do the next Wlad fight.
