Gummon bro, is this master or Iaminuit I'm talking to here? Gummon bro ;D
Hatton fought Collazo at 147 two fights before taking on Mayweather. Knowing Fatton's beer burgers and blow diet you can hardly blame those extra 7lbs for his poor conditioning so quit the weak excuses.
Whats funny is that Hatton weighed in at 147 for his fight against Floyd, Floyd himself chose to come in light, weighing 145 the day before.
Therefore he could have made 140lb and did not because Hatton was poor at welterweight.
He could have fucked a sheep also...
He could also have not hit those women...

Re: Manny WILL get stopped and I guarantee this
There's this insane logic that I've seen a few people use on this forums, Iaminut is the blaring example, where a guy's abilities is defined by what arbitrary weight he is contracted to weigh in at.
There's two ways weight can affect a fighter. 1) The fighter has to cut too much weight and becomes "weight drained", weakened to the point that it negatively impacts his performance and 2) the fighter is fighting at a weight class that is far beyond his natural class and is fighting guys much bigger than he is used to. We've seen it before: a guy is a big puncher at (let's say for example) 135, he moves to 147 and suddenly he is fighting much bigger guys who can withstand much more force, and all of a sudden he's not a big puncher any more, he can't keep the big guys off him, and he gets drained by fighting a much bigger man. That's it. That's the only two ways weight has anything to do with the outcome of a fight. Neither of those affected Hatton: he wasn't forced to weaken himself by cutting excessive weight and he wasn't forced to fight a guy that was a weight class bigger than him.
But certain people here seem to believe in magic numbers, that the arbitrary weight itself defines a fighters' ability. What can you say to it? It's just moronic. ;D Gummon bro ;D

Hatton pushed around and man handled his opponents at 140lb look at what he did to the great Tzsyu. At welterweight he was at best average. It suited Floyd to fight Ricky at welterweight. What is not to get?

Ok so just humour me here: how would that weigh in have made a difference in Floyd favour?
Floyd generally weighs in at 147 and comes to the ring at 147-148 the night of the fight. So Floyd is about a 150lb guy.
Ricky Hatton weighed in generally at 140 and came to the ring 148-149. When he fought Pac at WW, he came into the ring at 152. So generally Hatton is about a 150lb guy as well.
So lets reasonably assume both guys are 150 on fight night. But the only difference is, both guys had to sweat out an extra 7lbs to make 140. Both guys have done it before numerous times, let's assume both guys would do it again without issue.
So at what point in that process of sweating out an extra 7lbs of water weight does Ricky Hatton suddenly gain these mystical powers that would have allowed him to beat Mayweather?

He struggled at WW because he had to fight bigger guys than he was used to. Floyd was not a bigger guy than he was used to. I'm not sure why this is hard to understand. Are you having a stroke?

Why is beanflicker writing "gummon?" I assume that means come on?
12% of Sheep have homosexual relations. That's a fact.

That extra effort to make 140lb made Hatton that much more ferocious which is what he needed to beat Floyd added with Paris as ref and fighting in Manchester. :)

How about as a moderator you keep the trolling and homophobia to the "anything goes" forums and actually try to have an intelligent conversation?

Bro if you want to tell me that Hatton needed an extra 2 hours sweating his ass off in the sauna to make him angry enough to beat Floyd, I can accept that over the magical weight theory. At least it's an explanation, although it doesn't really say much for Hatton. ;D

Hatton is a complex personality and psychologically it would have helped him knowing her was fighting on his territory.
Re: Manny WILL get stopped and I guarantee this
Hatton's career was pretty much over by the time he stepped up to fight Floyd.
He got himself a big fat payday to waste on coke and cheeseburgers.
Hatton was never going to beat Floyd. Ever.
Re: Manny WILL get stopped and I guarantee this
Floyd is a great great fighter and has dominated the sport for some time now. It's all business with Floyd, I don't think he really is that bothered about a career defining challenge, and keeping that 0 is very important to him.
He has done it his way, and it's good to see a fighter calling the shots and not ending up as a promoters piece of meat. He has carefully picked his opponents, especially regarding the timing of when he fights them, but his resume contains a who's who of the best fighters of his generation.
Real fight fans want to see how a boxer reacts to adversity, how they can gut it out when the going gets tough ...... Floyd hasn't really had to do that, but he ever does, I think people's perception of him will change massively.
Ray Robinsons legacy didn't suffer when he overreached himself at light heavy. Ali's legacy didn't suffer when he carried on for too long. It would be good to see Floyd take on that really really big challenge (like fighting Golovkin) that WIN OR LOSE will add further lustre to his legend!

1. The sheep comment is a fact observed in nature.
2. I asked a question. What does "gummon" mean? (Sorry, I have no idea)
If you regard either of these things as "homophobic" (lol) or "trolling" (lol) I suggest you calm down and think before you post.
