I honestly don't care who does it, as long as I see it sometime before Wlad retires.
Ok you dont think he will win, I do.
You have seen smaller, older, less skilled, less willed fighters get in there with Wlad happy to be there and let Wlad dictate the pace.
What your about to see (unless Wlad pulls out) is a massive, fit, young, strong willed fighter who throws combinations, can move excellently for a heavy and pressure, push Wlad and break him down.;)
I hope you're right, as it would be great for boxing (see post # 31). Let's say you're correct on all counts regarding Fury. What about his chin, though? The little I've seen of Fury hasn't exactly given me a warm and fuzzy feeling that he can take a shot from Wlad. And make no mistake about it... at least one is bound to land. Then what? Also... is Fury prepared if Wlad decides Fury's too dangerous and tries to turn the fight into a mauling, foul-filled affair (see: Povetkin)? You talk about Fury's physical shape. The times I've seen him he looks like anything but. Has he really given the gym enough of his time to come in as fit as you say? Again... not against Fury. Just a little jaded when it comes to Wlad opponents. And this isn't even a compliment to Wlad.... just a huge critique at all past Wlad opponents.

I said nothing about Furys shape. I said he was very fit which he is. You are confusing bodybuilding with boxing like some others do. Look at Durans body shape as he moved up to fight in his natural bodyweight as what Fury does. Did he look ripped and shredded? No. Was he fit? Yes!
As for Furys chin. Hes going to be much harder for Wlad to hit than Wlad is for Fury to hit and has Fury been knocked out? No. Has Wlad been knocked out? Yes! 3 times!! How many times has Wald been knocked down? 8!!?
Haye was and is supposedly Wlads most dangerous opponent but how many times had he been knocked down prior to fighting Wlad! 6? Also how willing was Haye to fight Wlad with an injury compared to Fury?
Ali got dropped hard and nearly stopped by 180lb Cooper and 190lb Sonny Banks and robbed a decision off Doug Jones. Does he beat the monster Sonny Liston?;)
Re: Klitschko-Fury Set for October 24 in Dusseldorf, Germany
Good to see that everyone is over all of the reservations about Tyson Fury and we are all behind him....
....is what I wish I could have said, but as usual he seems to be more divisive than a bacon sandwich at a multi-faith conference brunch! I like the lad, I do think that Klitschko will have a bit more difficulty with him as he is tall but also has some boxing nous about him. I get that his cocky attitude doesn't sit well with everybody, but he's not the kind of braggart that seems to divide the American fans like Mayweather or Broner.

With Fury you dont even get that unerlying arrogance of Ricky Hatton. He is a genuinely likable and funny person. He will embrace everyone and treat everyone the same and I think when he beats Klitschko hes going to be absolutely huge, a heavyweight people actually want to watch. Then you have a similar type of personality in Wilder to give the American audience something to give hope to and a hugefight between the two!;D

Not confusing body shape with "being in shape" at all. So does Fury have the stamina to go 12 rounds with Wlad if necessary? You didn't answer a very important question. What if Wlad decides to do a Povetkin on Fury? Is he prepared? Does he have an answer? Remember... post-Brewster Wlad learned how to do whatever.... WHATEVER... it takes to survive and win a fight. No matter how ugly it looks. Is Fury prepared for this? You didn't even answer my question on Fury's chin, choosing instead to say Fury is difficult to hit. Yes, Wlad has been knocked down. Then he's gotten back up and won the fight. Apparently the one doing the knocking down didn't have the wherewithal to finish the job. Will Fury? You mention Haye and he's one of the worst offenders as far as talking a lot of shit and then doing diddly squat to back up all that false bravado once he got in the ring.

Wlad hasnt gotten off the floor to win every time at all!! Have you even watched his fights?
Yes he can get away with leaning on Povetkin who is about 7" shorter than Tyson;D;D;D
He cant lean on Tysons back, Tyson is the bigger man!;D
Tysons chin is no worse than Wlads. Wlad shits it with a threat and holds and leans. Tyson is the first fighter hes faced that he wont be able to do that to and as for stamina Wlad hasnt been forced to fight 12 rounds yet. I think he tires midway from having to think amd move and avoid a beating.

Once again we need a translator between us. Did I say he's (Wlad) gotten up from ALL his knockdowns?? Please don't make me spell things out. He got up against Sam Peter, who was considered a VERY dangerous opponent. (Probably the ONLY one who, unlike Haye, came to actually fight, not just talk shit BEFORE the fight).
I like your enthusiasm for Fury...
But I'll reserve my optimism for now until I see something that tells me this isn't the umpteenth rerun of the same old tired movie.

Ok I think we've finally reached the root cause of this disagreement.
I am not a Wlad fan, but I'm less of a fan of the parade of losers who have promised big things against him only to come up short. To me, Fury could be one of those. I'll be happy if he wins... but I'm not holding my breath.
You're a Fury fanboy, who takes anything other than 100% agreement with you as Fury hate. Therefore... we're all haters. You wear your emotions on your sleeve (as you used to do with Mayorga... prior to the Cotto fight... ;) ). Then... when you lose... you go crying home.
Nice chatting with you. ;)

I'd love nothing more than for someone to walk in hit Wlad in the mouth and see how Wlad reacts. He hasn't had that in many, many, many fights and it's about high time someone did just to see what happens. I've always thought Wilder has a better chance of upsetting Wlad than Fury does, but I watched his last fight and was not overly impressed.
Bullshit!
This is exactly what you said! "Wlad has been knocked down. Then he's gotten back up and won the fight. Apparently the one doing the knocking down didn't have the wherewithal to finish the job."
He didnt get up to winagainst Purrity, Sanders or Brewster!!;D
Whereas Tyson has gotten up to win;)
He hasn't been anywhere near a puncher like Brewster , or Sanders , if he had he would have 2 losses on his record. He has a world rating by beating a blown up cruiser , Johnson who is garbage and chisora who Haye koed in 4 , a media product for sure.

@
ross - you going to go to this. Id love to go but wont be able to get the time off work
I think Fury will win but I also very much want him to win as much as some of the sad cunts here cant stand him as it will be fucking hilarious watching the tumbleweeds in here when he does when all the experts are proved wrong.
I am also superstitious and think if I put money on a fighter it jinx's them. Iv bet plenty on fights before but in fights where the outcome didnt bother me.
I have already booked accommodation. Then ill book fight tickets but leave travel late in case Wlad pulls out like he did against Chisora twice. With Haye shitting his pants twice im not too comfident Wlad wont pull out. The hotel can be cancelled with no fee so hopefully I dont lose any money if it doesnt happen.
I have Fury to win a world title this year so not gonna back him again so hopefully he makes me some cash. He does have a chance but what worries me is his chin. Getting floored and badly hurt by Cunningham means Wlad can do the same. Obviously he wont be messing around in the ring the same way against Wlad so he should be harder to hit but no doubt against Wland hes gonna get tagged a few times.

Haye got dropped by super middles and cruisers, Wlad couldnt make a dent in him and Hayewas smaller;)

Yes because Haye fully engaged Wlad and in doing so took some flush shots from him.
Looooove your sense of logic.

You trying to tell me Wlad didnt land a single shot on Haye or that hes that shit he couldnt?
Now I'm asking you... did you even watch the fight??
For all the shit Haye talked, he did very little venturing anywhere near Wlad. Wlad unfortunately accommodated him, thinking maybe Haye would hurt him with one of those "vaunted" Haye-makers. All in all a laughable attempt at a heavyweight fight.
No... of course I'm not saying Wlad didn't land a single shot on Haye.
I am saying however, that he didn't land any flush shots on Haye.
