I been telling you it since the beginning and even gave you the reasons and the facts why. So I can tell you this! Because you didn't defend yourself at all. You think gyro explained it better because you couldn't, and you are now back to the "touch streets raised so he ducks nobody." which has no valid arguement. I even gave you when there was attempts and inactivity periods which you still haven't proven to me why. But whatever, I already proved my point and you couldn't respond. Margarito ducked Spinks, end of story.Quote:

Why won't Floyd fight him? because Floyd is a smart business man and knows he holds every advantage over Margarito and would beat him easily. he is waiting for a 10 million dollar promotion to beat Margarito up. Once he lets it get juicy to the point where he can get a LOT of money for it, he will fight and beat Margarito in an easy fight and walk away with 10 million dollars. It's why anyone fights those "avoided ones"Quote:

If he was to beat Spinks, and then lost to Floyd, he would still have some marketability. With four losses, I feel it would be in Margarito's best interest to take a big name he is more likely to beat, before he fights Floyd.
Boxing is one of the toughest sports, if not the toughest. Fighters disappear, become punch drunk, fail to reach their potential, lose everything. Thats boxing. It's one of the dirtiest sporting trades, if not the dirtiest. Once in awhile, a fighter gets his shot at the big time.Quote:

Listen to what you guys are saying. You are saying a chance to make it big, is a bad thing. One shot to tell everybody your worth someting. It's the reason why boxers fight. For that defining moment. And you guys are trying to convince me that Margarito isn't worth Mayweather's time. Well, I'm here to say that this fight is worth it's time. A rags and rugged fighter, gets his shot at a Prime Time HBO fighter. It's one of boxing's classic stories told time and time again.
No, Margarito has already proven himself. More than Sharmba and more than Judah whose record at Welterweight is 4-2, one loss to a nine loss journeyman. I'm not saying Mayweather Judah is a waste of time, hell no I'm not saying that. I'm just saying Margarito deserves his shot at a premier fighter. If anybody thinks Mayweather is an all-time-great, then you should demand a Margarito fight. It's something all legends have done. Great fighters fight guys like Margarito without even a second thought about business. It's something legendary fighters did. It wasn't a big deal. They didn't have legions of fans, such as yourselves, telling fans like us why their fighter should avoid certain fights. Because if you think about it, thats what your saying. That Mayweather should avoid Margarito for future big paydays, even when Floyd can make multi-millions either way.
And if Mayweather, supposed pound-for-pound number one, future all-time-great, and multi-millionaire, won't step up, then perhaps Gatti's giant heart has to give yet another young kid a chance for fortune, much like he did Mayweather.
Do I have to bring out the Winky Wright, Marvin Hagler card? ;D
nope because unlike those two guys who actually beat some names margarito has beat who? kermit and lost to santos...yeah he deserves a shot....Quote:

No he isn't. When's the last time he's been on any major network ??? All he is is the JMM of the Welterweights.Quote:

You DO know that Margarito also could have fought Jose Antonio Rivera right ;)Quote:

Baldomir isn't a journeyman, and is better then Cintron And Lujan ;)Quote:

yes and he didn't fight Rivera or Spinks, w/e, he had his chances. And he only seems to be calling out these guys when they have a fight scheduled.Quote:

Sure, but Floyd is a smarter business man, he'd rather destroy Margarito for 10 million then 6 million.Quote:

Sure, but it's wiser to fight Margarito for 10 million and shut him out then 6 million.Quote:

Sure Gatti can fight and beat Margarito for a 4 million dollar pay day and Margarito will get beaten by gatti and now he's nowhere. Margarito is no better then JMM. Who just got beat overseas. Once again, you all give Margarito too much credit. He hasn't beaten any guy in the top 20 since he turned pro ;) Unless we're counting andrew Lewis. He got a title on a vacancy and the guy it belonged to beat Margarito when they finally fought each other. But you give Margarito credit because he claims he wants to fight somebody. But when he doesn't fight people like Rivera or Spinks I raise an eye brow to it. like what was said there's a difference between a verbal contract and a true contract and all margarito has done is talk "i want this guy, I want that guy' but neither he nor his promoter have tried to make these fights happen except with Mayweather. Anyone else you mention he hasn't tried to do. He's content with fighting the same old opponents that stand in front of him. Can you name me a true name that Margarito has beaten other then Andrew Lewis who had just been stopped by Mayorga ??? Sure he should get a big fight but I am warning you that he is one dimentional and would be beaten easily.Quote:

Here's the thing that you all keep forgetting & it's easy...you don't have to be an analyst & you don't have to bring up dates & dollars when they are & have been previously broadcast right in front of you...again...Margarito has done nothing to warrant a shot at Mayweather...reason being...Mayweather was firmly at the top of 140. He came up to fight Zab Judah...he fought Mitchell as a warm up for Judah on his way to Oscar.
He did not come up to fight Margarito or whoever else wants to cash in on Floyd's name...he is & was & will be on his way to Oscar where he will earn more than some paltry 6 mill to fight Margarito...a fight that (believe it or not) is not at the top of everyone's list & is surely not going to net him the 10 mill that he will more than likely get plus a percentage to the PPV gate.
The funny thing is this...Margarito would never garner that much bank nor will beating Oscar gain that much attention.
You people all know this because you are boxing fans & you know the name of the game for most fighters is to make a living & still stay alive & well.
In Floyd's own words: IF IT DON'T MAKE DOLLARS IT DON'T MAKE SENSE.
Oscar makes millions & millions of dollars...Margarito don't make sense.
Winky only beat names, because Shane gave him a shot.Quote:

Many of these fights were dominant performances, but not without Wright getting a little puffy in the face in the process. So what, he won the fights. No big names on his resume at the time, but he needed one. Just like Margarito, he needed for a prime-time fighter to give him his shot. Turned out, it was Mosley who would give it to him. People didn't think much of Winky back then, because that wasn't a pick'em fight at the time, he was the underdog. It was this chance that gave Winky his time to show what he really was. If he was bad, then all they nay-sayers were right. But as long as he got his shot, he could prove what he had, good or bad.
Hagler is another one. I don't think you know your history, so you can google that story up yourself. ;)
Somebody will give Margarito a chance one of these days. Just not sure who will, PBF won't, Zab's NEVER mentioned his name, Hatton changes the subject very quickly whenever he's brought up. Mosley already turned him down and thats saying something considering Shane has always been willing to fight the best and even gave Winky his shot. For now its pointless to argue, we can't make fighters fight him. If he can't find a fight here, and he probably won't, he'll just have to move up to 154, fight a Karmazin, or an Ouma.
Did Shane Mosely wait for Winky to earn him 10 million?
Did Shane say to Winky, "If it makes dollars it makes sense, so wait your turn buddy."
That tells you what kind of fighter Shane is. He known as a fighter who gives up and comers their shot. He paid for it, but he holds great respect from the boxing community for it.
And this 10 million thing is a total arbitrary number brought up, and created by the Pretty Boy Fans.
