I wondered the same thing. To all boxing fans this was easily the least interesting fight. It should have been first.
It remarkable. How did Mayweather sellout venues and yet Lara and Rigo are booed out of the place.
Crowd was shocking in Cali too? Whats the story is boxing just dying in the states? A card like that would sell out quickly in Europe
There are big cards all the time in the States. I don’t blame fans for not getting excited about Santa Cruz and Mares against no hopers.
The 154 arena was packed. It just cleared out for Lara vs the no hoper.
We like competitive fights over here.

Anyone think a more active Trout could have lasted the distance? Hurd is huge. Jermell vs Hurd needs to happen.
That's Lubin kayo was sweet. I think he may have been able to get up.

I really hated seeing Trout being hammered down like that after such a quality start. Unfortunately I think it was a matter of time either way, as simple as the strength of Hurd combined with the inevitable heart of Trout trying to give as good as he took.
Hurd vs Charlo I want to see. Love the way it was basically marketed live and both stepped into it. Still think they put Lara last because the knew he would put the crowd to sleep, far from 'main' event.
Poor Lubin looked like someone tossed a toaster into his bathtub, no way he was getting up there. Literally sparked out ;D

He was up by 8/9. Only about 15 seconds left in the round. Some guys can recover quickly and others wobbling around worse left to continue. Doubt the minute would have been enough tho.

He was? I am going to have to look at it again. The red stopped counting at 6 I believe and I don’t remember Lubin getting up 2 seconds after he stopped the count.

Just rewatched it. It was close. He may have gotten up by 9 but wasn’t stable enough to continue at that moment.

Yep always lots of quality cards in the states but always seem to be empty seats. Ticket prices in general much better priced than in UK & Ireland. Ive only been to a few fights over there but always easy to get tickets whereas always struggle for big fights over here.
