Odd fight. Smith looked like he was getting to grips with Skoglund through the first 4 rounds, then eats a few jabs and falls apart for the next 4. The knockdown put a big exclamation mark against a pretty even fight.

I just can't see Smith becoming World Champion. I don't think he's that much better than Paul to be fair :-/
Agreed. Smith will get found out with better opposition.
Smith showed real grit.
Wonder how Eubank jr will handle his height/reach etc.
Groves is the big player in all this!
I was quite impressed with Smith, always thought he looked like a probable swallower under the cosh, but after getting his face smashed in and struggling for a few rounds he regrouped and warred it out.
Skoglund showed no ill effects of making the weight and proved to be rock solid (which his previous form/good amateur experience suggested).
Is Groves dealing with Smith's range and wicked long right hand? Be surprised if he took the clumps/pressure Skog did and match fire-with-fire on the inside, however, Groves obviously brings much better weapons. Eubank Jr might outstay him if he survives the early rounds.
There is absolutely nothing to suggest that Eubank Jr. is anywhere near the level that Groves, Callum Smith and DeGale are at. the one thing he brings to the table is Stamina and conditioning. I genuinely believe Jamie Cox would've beat Eubank.
