Red Dead Redemption - anyone playing ?

This whole thing has made me pay more attention to video game stocks. I’m looking at ten cent which I beleive owns rock star games. When red dead redemption 2 came out the stock jumped 10 bucks in one day. I can’t say I love the stock it’s valuation is higher than I like but not too bad compared to the likes of Netflix and other tech stocks. People who know better than me are saying these types of companies can overtake Hollywood some day. I don’t know if any of u follow these stocks but if so I’d love to hear

Also my horse got killed, got by a train I think. I'm back to riding Tennessee Williams again.

About 27% through story so far.

Finally at the very beginning, feel like I'm forgetting half of the tutorial commands once they disappear ;D. Basically just running laps in snow to build stamina and not sure what other stats can be built up through repetition. Horse bonding :-X. Game logic always gets me, you kill 7,8 wolves leave them there only to get back to 'starving' camp where you have to go hunt a deer. Bit like Fallout..search and collect all items. Everything.

Sounds like we are at the same part. I just started hunting. Time is definitely going to be an issue with this game.

Thinking it's more of a prologue as it's pretty lineal but dragging. Sure it will open shortly. Not sure what save options are but so far do not see them?

Here is the company that owns rockstar games. They took in over 700 million in three days upon the release of red dead 2

Spic it opens up after the snow bit which gets a bit tedious...

I was looking for save options too but they're locked at that stage.

Even when it opens up you can't save mid mission so don't be thinking you can have a quick twenty minutes on the game.

And do consider the gold bar cheat if like me you want to save some time.....

You don't need to do laps in snow to build up stamina, it just increases as the game goes on, same with the horse bonding.

I've not had any bother with keeping the food stocks up in camp either, it doesn't take a lot of time, I find a couple of rabbits will do it.

I wish you could just save it though, that is one thing that does my head in at times.

Oh and as for the gold bar cheat, I didn't do it and I've now got about $900 on my person and the camp has about $300

I've got 28000 and a fully equipped camp so fuck you.

Apart from that I'm trying to play the game honestly and not getting into gun play but realising after watching YouTube videos how shit I actually am in gun fights once I actually get into one. Maybe there's something to be said about Billy the kid style play.

Do you think the percentage complete refers to the total game content or just the main story? I remember finishing the first one years ago and had only done 72%

I think it's story %. I'm about 30% so far, spent last session completing side missions and challenges.

Didn't use the cheat, have over $3k and camp has about $300.

Pulled a bank job that paid pretty well.

I don't like the way it keeps changing my weapon, if I have bow or rifle equip for example, something will occur, then next thing my pistol is my equip weapon.

I also don't like how slow you walk through camp or starting missions.

I have just realised John Marston is not in my camp , not sure where he is ?

Sick of losing my hat too.

And when you get killed mid side mission or legendary animal hunt you can't immediately restart from where you left it. Annoying.

If you get killed with legendary animal that animal then fucks off for a time and you can't even reattempt the kill and have to come back later.

Do Rock Star not think peopl ehave other lives ?!?

It is nerdy but these things are big today. Shit I remember asteroids and tank. The work that goes into making these games must be intense. I’ve read the government has difficulty recruiting the best coders as they go into video games. Big money for top software people. Taking in almost 800 million on the first three days of release is amazing money. I guess it’s where we are at now, I’m not a big gamer but it is fun to play in moderation.
