Barrett cracks with a right. Barrett clenches this time. Nice exchange. Valuev trying to walk Barrett down. Barrett jumps in & holds. Barrett jabs. Valuev right's him again. 1-2 by Valuev. Left hand from Barrett. Valuev cracks him back. Big left hand & then a right rocks Barrtt. He's fwocked. Barrett holding on for life. Big right hand rocks Barrett. Damn. Barrett is stumbling around the ring.

Big round for Valuev. It aint pretty...but it damn sho' works.

No, I've seen him look better. Barret's won 2-3 rounds, but he's gassed as hell now. Very ugly fight, both guys sloppy as hell.

Barrett will probably go before 10, hopefully during 10.

Left & then a right from Valuev. He's still fighting though. Barrett just holding on. He's got nothing left. Barrett landed a nice left hook. Monty goes down. That looked like it was from exhaustion...but Valuev connected with something. Left hook from Barrett. Valuev just walks in throwing. Big right hand from Barrett. Valuev pushing down on him. Barrett leaning on the ropes. They trade after the bell.

Round to Valuev.

Right hand for Valuev. Barrett holding. You can literally see Barrett's legs go weak just before he grabs Valuev. Barrett is bleeding pretty badly. Barrett just landed a few punches...but nothing comes of them.

Round to Valuev again.

Come on Nikolai...you're in America, you can't let it go to the cards. You've got to finish him now. Remember your mentor Ivan Drago, follow his mantra, and finish him!

Valuev comes back & cracks him once again & down he goes. Valuev is all over him & somehow Barrett manages to stay up. A right hand & then an upper drops him again. He takes the count & comes back out. This needs to be stopped. Barrett is out on his feet. His corner finally throws in the towel. Gotdam...bout time.

Valuev probably woulda caused some serious damage there.

Valuev dominates a much smaller fighter who doesn't punch hard. I'm not immpressed

Okay, so Valuev comes through his first American test. Is anyone any more convinced about him, or, despite all the talk about Barrett KOing Valuev from some corners, Barrett was just a bum after all? Sounds like he took quite a beating in there, and I'm sure he of the shock of hair will promote Nikolai and making him even more American Dollars to take home and feed his family of 42.

Well done Valuev, Well done Bashir for stopping it. Show him some respect, he won! Out connected, i'm sickened by the american fans not applauding the winner at the fight.

Sobering....up....I've been drinking for around 7 hours and I still aint quitting. The Japanese GP is about to start so mroe drinking as I wathc that until I go to bed around 8am. And then over to my parents for ssunday lunch around 1pm.

This was by Valuev standard a very exciting and entertaining fight... ;)

Vic just flat out destroyed Donaire what a mismatch.

Valuev-Barret was entertaining but not much of a fight. :-\

It was a very close fight but Adamek didn't win by that big of scores!

I thought Briggs would get an early KO but he didn't and Adamek deserved it.

All I can say about Valuev is he had better not reach Marciano's record.

Briggs vs Adamek II was GREAT! non stop action baby! i love it. possible candidate for fight of the year! i was rooting for Briggs cause i found out he got raped as a kid and had such a hard upbringing. CHI-TOWN my hometown got a hella lot of polish peeps man, alot of my friends were polish. they even have polish gangs. there used to be a club called CLUB POLO which was a polish club but had some of the finest dimes i used to clock back in the day. but yeah my point was Adamek had the hometown crowd advantage by faaaaaaaaar!

I think the Corrales fight was very close,I'll watch it again but I think Cas won by 1. I thought Diego looked very tired,sluggish,he did not have that energy,that aura he usually has. He did not use the jab enough and nor did he use enough power punches.I'd like to see him at 147 and as for Cas,well done,he deserves it for all the close decisions he has had. I hope he has a few super fights now!

About to see Briggs-Adamek,I really liked the first one!!

Darchinyan beat Doanire up badly but it did not show me anything about Darchinyan except that he has P4P power,wide open to counters and to the body and I'd like to see him backed up.Great power though.

They've not been put on the listings for the Sky Sports boxing channels forthe next couple of months so don't think they'll appear there. Last week on Eurosport was the Evander Holyfield fight, so if it goes there then it could well be quite a while :p If I see it I'll post it up here a few days before.
