Your boy was struggling to get any offense going and he looked confused for quite a lot of the fight. If anyoune thinks different that's an opinion i'm just saying that there was a couple of low blows which BAYLESS didn't deduct but good job on his part for letting the fight go on. Accidental headbutts occur all the time so you can't complain about that.
I said before that Pac is too agile and too exilirating that was too much for JMM. He DESREVES that BOUT and great performance by both fighters. JMM at that age was terrific and like his lil brother Rafa they blow steam at the last rounds but as i said for his age very impressive.
JMM complained about the headbutt but it didn;t bother him until PAC opened it up more. JMM opened up Pac eye solidly and it did effect him but that is the difference between one who connects and one who continues and puts effort and perserverence.

so i just watched the youtube vids of rds 1-5, rd 10 and rd 12..
just from watching those rounds, i figured pac won by UD.. but then i checked boxrec.com and saw it was a SD, which means JMM came on eventually after the 5th..
JMM def won the last round, and i had 1 MAYBE 2 out of the first 5 for him, but Pac knocked JMM down, and it only seemed like a matter of time for him to connect up until that point.. I didn't see marquez doing much in those rounds, except the 12th..
again, i ddin't see the whole fight so i can't say too much, but from what i did see, the rounds that pacman won were pretty brutal.. he shook marquez up several times including a knockdown.. can't wait to watch it all.
Quality fight but another upsetting and poorly made decision. Marquez evened things up after falling behind with the KD and stole the show with excellent boxing in the final rounds.
ICB.............i'm not taking nothing away from JMM but to be honest it's the aggressor who usually wins the fight. the knock down did make a difference though. Tell me how many hits did Pac take compared to getting pushed back and taking the fight from JMM.
It's just that kind of fight and we can't change that. that is boxing but their is a rematch clause so you will get to see the fight agian and maybe JMM will come out victorious to win th belt back because that is once again boxing politics.

Excellent fight. Marquez won by 2 points imo. At very worst it could have been a draw. Marquez has had a tremendous career and is one of the great fighters of our generation and because of things out of his control hes never gotten his dues.
I did the sopcast thing. I'll go back and watch it again next week. I honestly had it for pac by the knockdown alone. Even the numbers were close. Marquez had some excellent counterpunching going on. Pac is a beast. He doesn't have half the boxing skill of Marquez, but makes up for it with speed, aggressiveness and power.

A confused order of events. Marquez outlanded Pac in power punches and controlled the championship rounds. It was tit for tat at times and Marquez was cut, but it didnt affect how Marquez was fighting. Pac was the more hittable of the two down the stretch.Quote:
