I have it 4-3 Calzaghe, even because of the KD. Somebody needs to explain the concept of inside fighting to Cortez.
What a great game plan by Hopkins, I don't know if I've ever seen a smarter fighter.

I've been complaining about Hopkins style for a while now.
Since he lost to JT, I gave up on him and Winky also.

Round 7: Calzaghe has all the momentum here and seems much more confident in there. Not lunging inside nearly as much and really controlling the early half of the round with his jab. Hopkins looks like maybe he is taking this round off, just circling and not shooting inside with right hands. Calzaghe very cocky in the ring, his hands at his side and chases Hopkins down in the last 10 seconds, jumping inside flurrying and Hopkins lands a good right in between Joe's punches that puts him back at the bell.

4-3 for Hopkins.

rnd 8. bhop circling now not backing up. joe presses with the jab again. hopkins uses his head, no damage. good straight left from joe. and another rocks bhop. into the corner bhop and joe hits him again withthe left. joe on top so far. grat right by hopkins joe keeps the pressure on, round ends with flurry from both and a hit from bernard after the bell. Joe round for me.

How do you score that round? Win or lose, Hopkins is really impressing me here.

Round 8: Roach tells Hopkins to walk forward this round. They exchanges jab at center early, and Hopkins stays on the ropes. Calzaghe firing the jab but not landing it much, still it is a good punch for him as it keeps Hopkins at bay. Calzaghe slaps at Hopkins with a combo against the ropes and then hits Hopkins once more on the break. Hopkins retaliates with a stiff right hand of his own. Hopkins has to make his punches count more then they are as he is now being outworked. Some very close rounds being fought round now and Hopkins catches Calzaghe in the midst of a late flurry again. Joe taunts a bit after the round but Hopkins got the better of that exchange.

If Joe can come in and get out before he gets his leg rooted, he'll look like the more dominent active fighter...

bhop is getting hurt.

rnd 9. both look lively now. hopkins circling centre ring throwing hooks good left by joe, both trying to do the same, joe pressing and bernar countering but not much connecting from both. good left then jab by bhop than good left from joe. both holding a lot now. cortez wont shut up. both with hnds down at the end of the round. pretty even round.

JC 2 to 3 points up

Round for Joe.

5-4 in rounds for Hopkins.

I give Calzaghe round 9. Though he's slowing a bit now, Hopkins has really impressed me with his hand speed. What a cagey old fucker he is.

Round 9: Calzaghe moves forward early behind the jab. A good straight left lands for Calzaghe. Calzaghe is landing punches with a much higher percentage in the later rounds. Hopkins again lands a stinging right, but Joe is undeterred coming forward. A lot of tying up this fight. Two minutes in Calzaghe lands a pair of good left hooks, Hopkins answers with a right hand of his own. Calzaghe looks to be having his best round this round. They tie up on the inside with just seconds left and Calzaghe breaks it with a couple of slapping punches. Good round for Hopkins.

I got the fight even.

5-5 rounds.

With a 10-8 round for Hopkins.

rnd 10 and joes corner think he can ko bernard. joe goes for bernard. bernard slipping and moving a low blow by joe and hopkins is down. gets 5 min. back into it after about 2 min. good left by joe to start. bhop holds. now joe holds. head clash but no damage. now bhop pressing and joe holding. lots ofthrowing but little landing but the jab from bhop then a left from joe again, hopkins to the body well, joe keeps coming, good combo by hopkins to finish the round, pretty ven probably to bhop though.

After the break....it worked Hopkins won the round and the latter portion..he exploited mistakes....you see that geyed up butt wiggle from Calzaghe after it :o:-X

joe is about to win this one.
