I had Paulie Malignaggi winning 2 rounds, with one even round which he possibly could of won, he did good at the start. Amir Khan looked tense in the first 5 rounds, but as soon as Amir Khan settled down and relaxed and started using his jab. He dominated the fight like i expected him too.Quote:

My thoughts on the fights:
I never saw the KAT/Mitchell fight, but I was thinking Kats would win. He is really good at cutting off the ring. Hes as strong as an ox. Mini tyson in there and I think he is still improving as a fighter.
Ortiz/Campbell - Kinda shocked!! I was expecting a much more competitive fight and I thought Campbell may have been too much for him till i watched it!hehe I still cannot figure out what Campbell was trying to do in there.
Khan/Malignaggi - I was also expecting it to be more competitive. I was expecting like a 8-4 fight in favor of Khan as Pauli seemed to rediscover himself lately and I thought his awkward speed might keep him in it. Khan completely dominated him though and looked good going it. What really impressed me was his quick counters over everything Pauli threw his way. His timing was awesome.
Yea just got through watching the replay. Khan really dominated Malignaggi completely. Khan even said Roach was telling him what to do and he just followed. Good action outside fight. Very much different from what I expected.Quote:

In Khans post fight interview he was talking about Freddie Roach telling him what to do and him just doing that. I suppose that was alright to do in this fight as Paulie looked abit lost and pretty much got jabbed out of the fight. Does anyone think if Khan comes under pressure he will have the boxing IQ to make reasonable adjustments? I dont think he has much intelligence outside or inside the ring to be honest. I was impressed with Malignaggi's chin but honestly this was the complete and total outcome I expected. Malignaggi has the most overrated defense in boxing, it's a crime to call him a true 'slick' fighter, someone who can only make 1 punch miss at a time. Khan had a good jab/left hand but it was the right hand that hurt Malignaggi and that's what got it going for him. Malignaggi is super small for the weight and holds his hands way to low, he's just not ever going to trouble a guy who's quick and powerful like Khan.
I wouldn't rush Khan in there with Bradley, Marquez, Alexander or any other top 140 lber yet. Katsidis would be a good fight, hope it happens. I wonder if Katsidis can deal with a jab yet, would be interesting. He's DEFINITELY not one to be written off though he can definitely KO Khan, either way the fight is over before 8 rounds imo.
