I'm pragmatic about how fights are called. Povetkin knew what he was in for from the START if not he's an idiot. Again to his credit all he complained about were the knockdowns.


Refs aren't machines, they have good and bad nights Pabon was OK, he gave warnings, took a point, did you want a DQ?

You lot bitch but provide 0 remedy or answer for what should have happened. Wlad has fought now 64 pro fights....he just might know how to work a ref.

Remedy take 2pts by the fifth round then wlad may have have got a fire under his ass and him out of there within a round or two after. todays fight was just baaaad and if you look at my past posts you will see me defending him and his style, but today he didn't even fight in his style but just turned into a total clinchfest for no reason he literally would have povetkin dazed after a combo n then go in for a clinch, good on him for getin the w but yes if it was up to me I would have deducted more points which would have led him to actually box or a dq eventually. If you remember the second peter fight steward was screamin at wlad to get him outa there by the sixth or seventh, todays fight he would have lost his goddam mind/voice cause povetkin should have never lasted twelve.

I didn't like the holding from Wlad today. There's no denying it was excessive and unnecessary.

But in past fights, Wlad has not held more than most boxers (Wach, Chambers and Thompson fights for example). But people always come up with something to bash/discredit Wlad for.

Todays fight was very much excessive and more point deductions or a dq would have been in order but todays fight represents his normal fights as much as a mike tyson fight does.

Looks like I missed another exciting Klitschko fight. I'll be sure to watch it tomorrow. I just can't understand why this guy isn't more popular with boxing fans.

The greatest hw of all time held more then most seem to remember why are people mad about holding been in the sport for ever. He even got a point taken i don't remember the last time i seen a point taken away for holding. I mean i am a huge Evander Holyfeild ffan and he held and butted like a mother fucker. I really don't think Wlad is much worse any other great was he bends the rules because he knows how and to honest i don't think he really cares anymore might as well retire got no one else really to fight.

Look the line is not fine at all here. Sure Ali held off and on but he never made a freakin career out of it. And dont try to compare Holyfield with this clown. When Wlad tried to end the fight Povetkin was the one doing the holding hence Wlad threw him down and lost a point.

My friend just called me to tell me about the fight- thankfully, I chose not to subject myself to it. He had two comments...
First, he believes that, from now on, all of Wlad's fights should be par-per-view, and he won't watch another for less than $300.
Second, Povetkin has a lot of guts. Too bad he can't fight at all.

This was excessive, even for him and Povetkin came to fight. Wlad was quick not to hold when he knew he had Povetkin hurt. It was a bad showing from Wlad.

I never said it was a good showing but shit off nights happen and iam what ever his name being fucking bitching like its end of the world. Its a bad night Wald might of lost a step who knows if so he can leave and people can be competitive again and the bitching will stop because its getting old really.

There are "bad" nights because the opponent makes it so with skill or you come in in off shape, etc etc. Wlad chose to make it a bad night here, he gamed it that way. He turned the tide in an instant in 3rd and it was there to happen. That hook off the temple was quality but he wanted to go ragdoll the rest of the way.

Again with the Ali comparison. Sure Ali held behind the head and even double gloved at times but he never acted like a rent a blanket for 12 rounds. Ever. That looked like a tough man contest.
