The whole card was damn good I thought, fun night of boxing and I enjoyed the main event just as much as any of the other fights.

It was a good card and the Floyd fight was better than usual. It's just that Berto was never going to cause any problems. At least someone like Khan might look interesting before he short circuits, or someone like Brook shows technique, youth and equal sharpness, but a Berto on the slide and post injuries was just filler.
Floyd did a few combos but it was just the usual floyd show and the grabbing and holding was excruciating.
Floyd missed alot of shots and needs to call it a day or make garcia number 50.
I will be sad to see Floyd retire and this was his last effort. :p
Mayweather will forever be known as the only fighter in history to duck Khan :D
Floyd 12-0, easy win against a tough opponent.
And everyone says Floyd cherry picks, but all the so called tough guys at 147 won't fight each other and are taking easy money.
500,000 buys ??? Showtime fixing to lose some money
You have to consider the entire package.
Showtime bought six Mayweather fights. Two of those fights set records for the most PPV buys ever. Canelo vs Floyd broke the Floyd v Oscar record, after which, the Floyd v Manny fight destroyed both records (almost combined).
So a lesser showing against Berto isn't really a big deal considering how much exposure and profit Showtime made with the entire Mayweather package.
Replayed tonight and watched like any fight should, in my living room taking up a full wall ;D
Actually not bad down the stretch with a few sloppy "exchanges", but still shit of a set up match. Berto looked drawn and stiff..still..and happy to be there, Floyd looked massive in full command, and Virgil Hunter was borderline WWE hype guy in the corner. I'd buy a car from him but not Berto with a chance of bothering Mayweather in any lifetime
I think you're mixing Burns-Martinez up with another fight (Beltran?). I pulled up an old thread - http://www.saddoboxing.com/boxingfor...candidate.html - not one person thought Martinez won let alone was robbed. I even googled for some official reports and found no reference to a robbery or unjust scoring.
((interesting way to start a sunday morning :D))
