I'm just hanging around to see if they announce the GGG fight in the ring after this ends.
I'm almost ready to turn this off since it's such a farce.
even when chavev has him on the ropes and swings a few punches canelo comes back and lands more... ALvarez is just way better than him so far :S
I don't think "workmanlike" is what $65 ppv means. Chavez is acting like he expects to be on the undercard next time.
Golovkin's at ringside.
I hope he makes chicken sounds at Canelo and goads him into a fight after Canelo dispatches the useless Junior.
I have a feeling I will put my fist through my TV screen after the fight when that fat faced smug grinning cunt De La Hoya gets in the ring and hovers around behind Ginger Pubes whilst constantly making sure his face is in shot
Good work by Chavez and Canelo looking to shell up and counter.
I'm going for a shit, let me know if anything happens
This is rubbish. Chavez won a round, but who cares at this stage.
..... and to think..... Chavez Jr. was largely irrelevant in boxing BEFORE this fight. :-X
Canelo already had his sparring session. Roys knees are going to ache tomorrow the way he's goin on :-X.
RETIRE, son. :vd:
11-0 for alvarez on my card.. it is pretty much sparring now. canelo is very good at a lot of things though well done to him. and he didnt sit down the whole fight :S bit odd and poserish but whatever
Kellerman: "What happened, Junior??"
Junior: "I would've had him had the fight gone 3 more rounds."
Chavez is totally outclassed and going for the moral of not getting stretched, however......
Canelo is a boring cunt.
easy easy win for alvarez, chavez jr was chavez jr and just not that good, I think canelos ability took away from the potential funness of this fight .
Canelo's a boring cunt who will continue to shamelessly duck GGG while continuing to fight welterweights and maybe even offer Junior a rematch. :-X
would be brilliant if it was announced as a draw though :S
Vera, Martinez and Fonfara did it better ;D. Honestly..meh
Buncey tearing into Jr, said that was the poorest headline event that he has ever seen.
Are BoxNation not getting the interviews then?
Lame. If Alvarez has another matchup like that he should be boycotted like Apartheid South Africa.
Max should take off the kid gloves tonight.
"Junior..... you f*cking stunk up the ring tonight. Why such a piss-poor performance??"
Exactly to plot. Not sure what people expected. It was a sham and played out as a sham. Chavez Jr was never an elite fighter.
Right then, bed time is the right time for this Bat, I've just hit 24 hours on 60 minutes kip.
See you crazy cats in a couple of hours.
maybe if hopkins had worn those supersized glasses in his last fight he might have seen some of the punches coming and not have been "pushed" out of the ring :S
Golovkin, you are next my friend.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
AHA this is apretty cool gimmick.. the date for golovkin canelo is up on the signs... video of golovkin and now here he comes... wwf style stuff here.. greta work hbo
This is where the real circus starts.
This would all be great if Canelo had any intention of actually fighting GGG.
Chavez getting blamed for the non-effort but all Canelo does is plod, plod, plod, plod, plod - funker is always one-paced, never in a hurry to break sweat/entertain.
Canelo groupies gobbling up his B.S. about not being scared to fight GGG.
GGG being gracious and Canelo emptily puffing his chest.
DLH had better squeeze all the profit he can out of Canelo before September, 'cause GGG is gonna squash the goose that lays the golden eggs.
Canelo/GGG at last? GGG will hopefully put an end to it, but looking at GGG there he looks like a middle aged man and Jacobs did make him look a little bit old last time out. Has Canelo timed it or has he bitten off more than he can chew? It makes it very interesting.
Good point above, Fenster, but Canelo fought his usual fight. I would be surprised to see Chavez throwing more than 20 punches in many of those rounds. He was the one who spoiled it for me. It was a Wlad performance, but without the clinching to stop the other man fighting. Low IQ boxing to fight mostly at range but not use any of your height and reach. Chavez argued that it wasn't his style, so why not experiment more instead of going with the constant failed plan A?
But after Canelo will GGG fight the 154 pounders Canelo hid from at Caneloweight?
This was basically a pre-sell event towards the GGG matchup. I'm impressed by the marketing strategy.
I won't believe the GGG is actually happening until they step into the ring. I have a feeling that GGG won't "budge" on certain demands.
