Re: Heavyweight Fight Schedule
Arreola did an ESPN chat wrap where he said he doesn't want to weigh below 240 :vd: ......he just doesn't get it does he? Yeah it's all fine & dandy if you're 240 and in fucking shape but Cris is always a soft 240 to where he could really be 220 if he wanted to train hard.
If Cris Arreola was as dedicated to boxing as Wladimir Klitschko then perhaps he'd make noise in the division.

Areola was on a good run and looked fit but he has not fought recently so may have fallen into his old lazy habits which is a shame.
Re: Heavyweight Fight Schedule
It's time for a new heavyweight contender and that guy is Wilder. Harrison is about to find out as are all the heavy's out there. Harrison is in for a rough time against Mr. Wilder from Alabama. Too bad the big boys don't give him the respect he deserves but everybody is about to see for themselves who the real contender is, sorry Harrison you will be lucky to make it 4 rounds with Wilder as the opponent.

Wlad has given Wilder respect. Wlad used him as a sparring partner for one of his fights and commented on how impressed he was with Deontay's handspeed. That said Deontay needs to start putting some good names on his record.
Re: Heavyweight Fight Schedule
The question remains as to why Wilder is 27-0 with 27 knockouts, and is only now fighting a recognizable name in Audley Harrison. Wilder has got some serious catching up to do and fast.

Meh, he can and should take his time. He's not beating Wladimir today, tomorrow, or anytime soon. That being said his quality of opponents should be well known fighters from here on out. I would have tried to make a fight vs Golota earlier as that's almost as certain of a victory as Audley and he's a name fighter, we all know him.
I want to see Wilder fight a boxer and have to work around the guy's defense. Some guys are simply hard to catch cleanly and Wilder needs practice vs those kinds of fighters and rounds...loads more rounds.

Yeah, forget Wlad. He's got nothing but clear skies and a clear runway as he descends toward retirement. I've already given up hope that anyone will test him before he's gone.
As far as Wilder, why should he be afforded the benefit of amassing almost 30 wins by KO in 30 fights, while other fighters are facing credible opposition by their 10th or 15th fight? Not an even measuring stick, if you ask me.
Right now he's a circus show... and his managers/promoters have been hesitant to take that next step. It's like an old friend of mine used to say. There's "ready, aim, fire"..... and then there's "ready, aim, aim, aim, aim, aim......"
Re: Heavyweight Fight Schedule
Audrey Harrison weighs in at the lightest of his heavyweight career, 225 lbs.

Re: Heavyweight Fight Schedule
A Timur Ibragimov or Ruslan Chagaev would be great for Wilder....hell I think he'd blast Abdusalamov out of the water easily. Dimitrenko would be good for him.
