Iron Man 3. I liked the first one better.
Yeah, personally I thought this one was better than Iron Man 2, but not quite up there with the original. I told my mate that the storyline with the kid had gone all Disney...guess what name was to be seen on the credits?
Did you stay to see the little scene at the end with Mark Ruffalo? That was quite funny.
'Panzaram'
A documentary on the serial killer. That guy is a very interesting case to look at when you are weighing the age old Nature vs Nurture argument. He was one sick bastard, but I suppose had anyone experienced what he did they would have arrived at the same place or would have killed themselves.
It also gave a little insight into the kinds of prisons he was held in...really bad places, hell even the boarding school he went to was bad.
Watched Crash, really clever movie.
Finally watched the Star Trek movie, not the new one in the cinema, and really liked it.
This reviewer seems to have wanted more from the film ,more seriousness!! Either that or he is pandering to a percentage of his readers expecting some critic.
If he got what he slightly complains about; then the film wouldnt be what it is: delightful, funny and handling a subject that could only be dealt with this way for that outcome.
Not many films I'd watch twice, life is too short, but this is one of them. Easy 8 out of 10 for me but depending on your taste.

Just saw the Evil Dead the other day. I am big into horror films. This one was not too bad. They revolved it around Gore more than psychological scares but if you enjoy horror you will probably enjoy it.
Star Trek
Life of Pi.
Amazing graphics by thousands of people and many different companies hard work to make imagination and reality blend seamlessly into a work of moving art with a deeper story that combines a mix of everything from philosophy to what nature can deal up for us.
While Star Trek: Into Darkness is in the cinema and is on my list of things to see, I watched a really similarly titled film In Darkness. A Polish film about a sewer inspector and how he managed to hide eleven Jews in the sewers of Lvov for 14 months during the Second World War. Another mentally draining film, but I can see why it picked up many awards.
Watched inbetweeners and it was funny, never watched the show.
Ski School and it was BRILLIANT!
It was a 1990's version of a 1980's idea and I viewed it through the prism of the 2010's....it was outstanding!
Now it's not outstanding on a deep level, it's not a movie that's breaking down barriers or starting discussions about taboo topics or addressing serious issues. It's a fun movie made for people to just enjoy it for its silliness.
The best part was the drinking game I did with it. If the Alpha Male Leader of the "bad guys" bullied someone or threatened violence you drink and if the Beta Male Leader of the "good guys" did something outrageously silly you drink....sooooo much fun to do that and Ski School 2 is on Netflix streaming, I am STOKED about that!
Pulp Fiction, seen it about 10 times through the years the music brilliant.:)
I'm just about to watch Jack Reacher on this fine Victoria Day holiday and then go fishing a little later. I think its going to be a Jason Bourne knock off.
Ski School II was terrible.....it was just a God awful movie full of skiing montages and the smallest plot ever.....really horrible. Ski School 1 was soooo much better
Watched Coriolanus last night. Great movie.
Watched HBO's "Behind the Candlabra", the new Liberace biopic. If you don't mind a bit of GAY, it's a great flick and fantastic performance by Michael Douglas.
Iron Man 3 - It was really good... I think all three films are outstanding and must see.
The Hangover 3 - Keep in mind it was the closing film which is why it wasn't as crazy as the first two. Things had to wind down or else it would just never end. Still a good watch.
Fast & Furious 6 - Fucken awesome. Arguably one of the best action franchises ever. The plot, the scenes and cinematography was just great. A part 7 will take place in the Middle East.
I thought were shit
Jack Reacher - It reminded me of a cheap TV movie where the crims and cops are all thick and twists are obvious.
Welcome to the Punch - Apart from looking cool, with great shots of London at night, just rubbish cliche cops and robbers stuff (I saw it billed as Britain's answer to Heat )
A Good Day to Die Hard - I turned it off halfway through (and I love Die Hard). Enough said.
I thought were good
Shadow Dancer - IRA member goes undercover for MI5. Tension drama with some proper twists.
Killing Them Softly - not brilliant but the characters were interesting. Good if you like low key crime drama/comedy.
In the Valley of Elah - excellent anti-war murder mystery.
That would have ruined a beyond awesome movie. "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner."
You can take the boy out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the boy.
I watched a surprisingly good film the other day called "The Double" starring Richard Gere and Topher Grace. It is about an agent who is chasing down a Russian agent he thought had died 20 years before and a new agent who learned everything about the previous case. I didn't expect much but it was a really decent watch and had a few decent plot twists.
'Dark Knight Rises' I FINALLY got around to watching it.....meh, it was ok I guess.
I finally saw this last week, i liked it a lot. cool it combined elements of 3 separate storylines.
also finally saw Jack Reacher, liked it a lot too. didn't read the books, so i thought cruise was good as reacher. apparently in the books, he's 6.5' tall and cruise is like 5'7". anyway, they used keysi fighting method and some of the moves looked cool on film.
Creature - It's a killing machine from outter space
Argo
Based on true story, its shot in a straight style which adds to the fervor. It is full of tension with an underlying menacing presence that is coming fast up behind you, it makes you never want to go anywhere near Tehran / Iran.
Vertigo -- An old Hitchcock classic!
Django Unchained -- A new western by Tarentino. Both were good movies.
I saw that one two weekends ago, and it was better than expected. The Jack Reacher character seems to be a (slightly) different character than the same one Tom Cruise plays over and over and over again, which was a nice change of pace. And the hot cars. Loved that.
'Hell Comes to Frogtown' starring Rowdy Roddy Piper....amazing movie, amazingly Canadian. I gave it 3 Eh's and 4 pitchers of maple syrup and a 12 pack of Molsen making it one of the most Canadian movies ever made.
Coolio - dk'd he was on Top Gear. thx!
Yeah, Parker is on my list to watch soon. Want to read the novels movie was based on, written by Donald Westlake writing as Richard Stark. Parker series is said to be very good crime fiction.
Read the graphic novel adaptations by Darwyn Cooke, they were very good.
Watched Law Abiding Citizen 2009 film it was good.
Fast and furious 6
Same crap same story
