Re: Which current active fighter has a more sound legacy than PBF?
Thanks for the :sadclick: CHAMP I would venture to say a little better than yours judging by some of you outrageous remarks and myriad od errors and inaccuracies... There are plenty of Amatuer fighters, former pro boxers, respected writers and trainers on this site that dont feel like they have to challenge everyones knowledge and credentials then proceed to list there credentials and status of end all be all world beater...
If you want to discuss things, exchange ideas thoughts and opinions then you are in the right place and you are welcome... If you are here to throw your so called achievements around and belittle everyone elses opinion and elevate yourself over others... I think I speak for all others when I tell you NO ONE GIVES A FLYING FUK ABOUT YOUR OVERBEARING AND BELITTLEING WAYS ALONG WITH YOUR ALLEGED BOXING RESUME
You should learn to play nice and be tactful
Re: Which current active fighter has a more sound legacy than PBF?

Re: Which current active fighter has a more sound legacy than PBF?

Like I said....its so easy for someone to sign onto a forum and act like they know everything...its the same people who are constantly proven wrong ie:Cotto will KO Urkal,Zab KO's Floyd,Baldo KO's Floyd,Taylor KO's Wright...none of which happened.
2.I wasnt trying to belittle anyone with my credentials...but you seem to imply that I know nothing and that my resume is "fraud"..Do the research! So just what have you accomplished in the boxing world? It gets so old to read post after post about Floyd being a fraud, ducking the best, not accomplishing anything,etc...
Motorcity...I never said Floyd shouldnt fight anymore...i said I dont wanna see him fight people who have nothing on their resumes..If you know so much state your credentials???????

How is he a fraud...seriously?lol..this is hilarious.Who has he had the chance to fight...but got scarred? What does he have to prove? When it comes to floyd there is always a negative comment...Who is he suppose to fight?
Dont know why this is still in Olympians quote its motorcitycobra here down
n
He's supposed to fight No1 contenders up and coming fighters all comers like a dominont champ should.....
You're saying no one got a hope of beating him so Floyd shouldn't waste his time with them.
Whats my credentials got to do voicing my opinion on a forum for fuks sake, it's about dicussing and debating not bragging

George Foreman has great boxing credentials but he still called matches in a biased manner and gave his opinions in a biased manner. Just because you box doesn't mean you are unbiased. And did the writers that voted to make Floyd PFP #1 all box too? RJJ has a great resume got kicked from HBO by pulling rank on the top dog running in the yard (Larry Merchant) by saying "well you've never boxed before". Roy got the boot and so should you.

Which division in boxing is deeper right now than 147? I can't find one. You could argue 130, but Morales and Barrera are both just about done with fighting (or at least they should be).

Of course he doesn't have to fight everyone who calls him out. I've gotten in a million arguments with people on this site, where I've said that Margarito is a chump, and that he is a fool if he thinks Floyd is ducking him.

And while all these welterweights are fighting each other, what is Floyd supposed to do in the meantime? Just sit at home and do nothing? If he's going to remain active, he would be fighting again in late '07. These contenders can't all fight each other by then. I don't see why someone like Cotto wouldn't be a deserving opponent.

Yes, but Floyd already has moved up divisions. He's already gone from 130 to 135 to 140 to 147 to 154. Every fighter needs to stop at a weight at some point. Floyd's most natural weight class is 147. Even though you don't think 147 is any good, there are more quality fighters there than at 140 or 154. And at this point in his career, you can't expect Floyd to get his weight any lower than the welterweight limit. The best fights for Floyd are at 147.
Like I said, every champ stops moving up in weight at some point and goes about cleaning out a division. Whitaker was the undisputed champ at 135, then moved up to 140, then to 147, and even won a belt at 154. But once he got to 147, he stayed there and took on all the top contenders. McGirt, Chavez, De La Hoya, Trinidad, etc. Mayweather should stay at 147 and fight all the top ranked guys.
1.Barrera,Pac,Wright,DLH,Mosley are all at or close to that level.
2.Baldo,Zab,Gatti, are all still ranked in the division...so what does that mean?Margo holds a belt!!c'mon!
3.Mayweather doesnt need a a fight in 07...He no longer has to chase anyone and he is only 31 yrs old.
4.I see no point in Floyd fighting every "top" welterweight just to be doing it.He has been doing this for quit sometime already.Baldo,Zab,Gatti,Corrales,Castillo,etc...al l were considered top contenders at the time...Now when people mention them they were"bums" and "past" their prime.I still want to see mayweather fight people who actually pose a threat...not some overhyped 23yr old.
You're just a fan of Floyd, plain & simple. What you're saying isn't adding up.
He doesn't have to fight again in 07? He doesn't have to fight anyone else at ww to prove he's the best there? Ridiculous!!!
Oh that's right, he beat the legendary Baldomir already my bad.
Your posts need some serious tuning.
Your whole logic needs tuning...if you think any of the welters other than Mosley have a realistic chance....and its obvious that you have never boxed a day in your life...or at least you werent successful...you sound like a larry merchant also.
I didn't want to embarass you but I was gonna tell you I think you never boxed a day in your life cause you obviously don't know much. Get off Floyds nuts and think about what you're typing. Larry Merchant is a real Dude so I'll take that as a compliment. He's actually the only one that's doesn't kiss nobodys a** but you can't see where he or I are coming from I guess right GROUPIE.
BTW, I told you to holla if you're ever in NYC. My name is ringing bells out here but you don't have to take my word for. Just come down and let me ring your bell. Then again you're probably some fat dude behind a computer screen thats believes his own lies so go head and let your imagination run wild.
Don't tell nobody else you're a fighter either cause your knowledge or should I say lack thereof, is going to take away from the real fighters credibility.

Listen CHAMP
I am a huge Floyd fan and never ever once called him a fraud... As a matter of fact I have spent days and days reasoning with peeps who discredit Floyd......
Most guys would label me a fanboy for that, OH well its a forum they are certainly entitled to there opinion
As far as people predicting wrong... It happens all the time, its an unpredictable sport not an exact science so even the best of them miss..
I got nothing against you and I dont hold grudges so its all good to me everyday is a new day and having animosity toward people I communicate daily is counterproductive and not my style  ;)

Re: Which current active fighter has a more sound legacy than PBF?
IMO, PBF ducked Freitas at 130.....
Freiats and PBF should have met around 1999-2000 he could have fought him instead he fought Carlos Gerena ???, Gregorio Vargas ???, Justin Juko ??? Can someone explain how Juko got a title shot having lost his previous fight?
PBF never faced another champ. at 130....
PBF then moved up to 135 and got his head smashed in by JLC....
Somebody please tell me how many champions PBFs fought while hes been champ. in the same division?
Baldomir :o Wow!! what a monster and to make matters worst PBF became the IBF champ. by beating Zab for a belt he had just lost to Baldomir.... :lolhaha:

Re: Which current active fighter has a more sound legacy than PBF?
PPF is prime candidate for receiving that humiliation treatment , I referring to that other thread going on . Floyd's mouth and all that jive ass bullshit he spits. I personally can't wait till he is pasted on the canvas ! Floyd will be a better man for it ! watching him flaunt with all that arrogance is a bit sickening . He does have skills, now that can't be denied, I think he would be so much better received in the press and the fans if he kept all that boastful shit to himself, and treated people with the proper respect. O0
