The next likely fight is vs Anthony Mundine. And the talk here across radio and television is they will fight each other in September. Calzaghe is getting old, and even waiting till November can be to long for him. Even a couple of months could be detrimental. This fight with Mundine is going ahead.
I don't care what any of you say. Because most of you hate Mundine. But Mundine is gonna win UD. Calzaghe has been fighting bums for four years. Mundine is gonna show him for the bum he is.
Heres a few interesting articles you should read before you reply:

A lot of you will call me fans and a mundine fan who's judgement is clouded, but i will go out on a limb on my thoughts of Mundine winning this. If it happens, we all know Calzaghe is a bitch and fights bums.
No hates Mundine at all its just you are a blinded fan and no matter what you say the topics you have been doing people will agree aswell and you makeout as if Calzaghe is like 45 a couple of months isn't going to change much and if this fight comes through and Calzaghe wins i bet you won't comeback to this forum.
Thats not going to be a problem. Mundine is not going to loose. Its time for America and the world to wake up and smell the coffee he is the real deal.
Not being funny mate, but Mundine really is a F****** joke.
Obviously your the joke. Go watch the first 9 rounds of the Ottke fight and then take into account this is only after 10 pro fights. The go watch his demolition of Green and Soliman. If Soliman was so S*** why did winky go the distance with him. And if Green was so S*** why did he go 12 with Ottke. Both are world class opponents. Your blind, because of your hatred to Mundine. Taking his comments that attract fans seriously. Obviously you don't know boxing. Because Calzaghe is ordinary now, hes past it, fights bums etc etc. But your a calzaghe fan so its no debate for you its programmed in your head.
Try showing a bit of respect. Dan is a decent poster who often makes adroit observations.
Mundine got sparked by Ottke of all people. That takes some doing! ;) Green was extremely green and hadnt beaten anyone of any note. And as for Soliman? Since when has Soliman been anything more than a decent journeyman? Yes, he went the distance with Winky. But Winky isnt a huge puncher and Winky did win decisively. I dont hate Mundine and do think he has come on since the Kessler fight but he is no way at the stage to beat someone of Calzaghes class.
You say Calzaghe only fights bums. Can you tell me who else he should have fought at SMW in the last 10 years? Im extremely curious. Dont say Kessler because Kessler has only become a real name in the last year and dont say Mundine because though he may deserve a shot one day is not there yet.
You say Dan doesnt know boxing but judging by the way you are posting you are really talking about yourself. And how about cleaning up the language? ::**

Look mate, Mundine has not yet shown any form against any world class opposition that would suggest that he has the beating of Calzaghe. Indeed that does give you a fair bit of leeway to speculate, but you're taking that garage doorway and paving it like a six-lane motorway. It's like saying that Mike Tyson was out of everyon3e's league because he beat Clifford Etienne....

okay sorry everyone for the bad language. I think we will know soon who was right. :lickish: ;D

Listen...chum...you need to cut the insults a bit.
We can all agree to disagree without this type of trash talk. Clean it up or you will eventually be taken out with the rest of the rubbish & trash talk.
Thanks.
Re: Calzagher vs Kessler off. Calzaghe vs Mundine on!!
I want to ask once again...who has Mundine fought worth a S*** that he hasn't lost to?
Whether he came on late, early, or whatever...he lost to Kessler, Siaca, & Ottkee.
Again...they all beat him convincingly & the rest of Mundine's opposition is weaker than you claim Calzaghe's resume is. Now I am fine with giving Mundine some credit for improving...but his record has already suffered early in the game.
It's just ludicrous to rake Calzaghe over the coals with Mundine as a back up plan.

Lets just be real, it's the only way we do it on saddo's. This has nothing to do with aussies, calzaghe, etc no stereotypes, no nothing, Mundine just isn't that good. His recent fight against Danny Green was awful, Green is a spent force at 168, and was never that good to begin with. His fight with Soliman was a complete mismatch, Soliman took that on short notice, and still Mundine makes such hard work of the fight. He's pretty good, but he's had numerous chances in big fights and everytime he's been a disappointment.

Exactly :coolclick:
Chum, it is all well and good supporting Mundine. But to insult Calzaghe's clearly superior record while continually refering to Mundine's wins over Green and Soliman just doesnt cut it.
Calzaghe has beaten everyone he has needed to beat and been wisely avoided by a few other name fighters. Chum, do you seriously think Calzaghe wouldnt have wiped the floor with Green and Soliman too? There is little to suggest that Mundine can take Calzaghe. His losses are big question marks and his recent wins have been against opponents who are not amongst the elite of world boxing. You are free to speculate and predict but I feel it is wishful thinking...

:coolclick: right back.
Although I do think that Mundine has improved since losing to Otkee...he still isn't on par with the elite level. I really REALLY dig on Kessler...& I can't say that I truly back Kessler as an elite...but he's a hell of a fighter & has already proven to be superior to Mundine.
Calzaghe would have eaten Siaca, Soliman, & Green alive...can't say for sure about Kess...but those three...easily.

Whilst avoiding the "miles johnson sucking session" which was exclusively attended by criminals, miles ended uo offering himself to sessions requiring penises, unlike myself, a former student in constnt need of former pupils.
Re: Calzagher vs Kessler off. Calzaghe vs Mundine on!!
okay well sorry to everyone i insulted and for the swearing. This is going to be my last post until Mundine faces either kessler or calzaghe. I hope its calzaghe. Im staying with my belief, Mundine will beat both of them . So good talking and im off. Cya in a few months, maybe never again, if the fight doesn't happen. Cheers

bro...all you have to do is state your case in an evidence based fashion, otherwise you'll end up as yo have. show me the evidence tha mundine has developed beyond the "regional puncher" stage, and i'll accept it if the evidence is sound. If not....Iguess you're down to accepting results from H

There's no sense in you bailing out like that...if that's how you want to handle yourself...then that's just a shame...you might be able to add something to this forum instead of detracting from it.
You can stick with your opinions instead of calling other members fucks or fuckers or whatever slant you throw out.
Why don't you just try not to insult people & just give a viable case to your arguements so that they can become discussions instead of a pissing contest.
Seriously...calm down & back up your arguements with valid points & maybe people will take you seriously & we can all gain something out of these rants.

That sums it up correctly. Mundine needs a couple more decent wins before he is line for any shot against Calzaghe or Kessler. I think Kessler is the real deal. Like Lacy he has decent wins against some decent opponents. He also has an effective style. He is composed, throws a good jab and a very powerful right. He is very economical and doesnt like to waste punches.
Calzaghe and Kessler are clearly the top 2 and I can see no debate about that. It would border on the absurd to think otherwise.
I think Calzaghe has all the skills to beat Kessler. Whether he has the tools (hands) is another matter. :-\
Calzaghe fought 12 against Lacy and 12 against Bika. He hurt himself against Manfredo. I like to think his hands can hold up for 12 against Kessler too.

Good points & I agree.
I worry about Joe's hands too.
