Re: What did you think of Hatton's performance?
in response to Wacko:
first: el gamo said he could even enjoy the match because of excessive holding= hattons non-exciting... comparsons to ruiz=non-exciting
agruing vs. discussion wrong choice of words.. sorry
me bring up saddo has nothing to do w/ my emotions i simply feel people was treating hatton completely different when saddo was on.. for whatever reason..........
although i agree that approach(bringing up saddo) was tasteless, carless and i didnt mean to rip on people's integrity (maybe it was my emotions :()...
i know shza isnt it proboxer... i was simply stating you get into the ring as a metaphor to anyone who gets into the ring w/ hatton140 and mayweather 154
thanx for setting me straight wacko.. el gamo i agree w/ you on most things i repect your opinions and i know you no more about boxing than me(seriosly).. maybe i should listen more... ;D

Not that I feel I have to defend myself with you...but since you like to argue...
I was saying that I totally agreed with what was said about Floyd...not the Ruiz statement.
Yes I did state that I felt you were contradicting yourself when you made a statement out footwork & not getting hit in regards to Floyd & then stating that he was a runner.
Hit & not get hit.
Now...as far as you saying I'm ripping on Hatton for holding?
I have always stated that I HATE that holding horse S***...& I always will & as far as me not saying it when the boss was on board:

Bodys shots by Hatton answered by Castillo. Hatton to the body & Castillo hooks the noggin. Shoulder to shoulder. Body shot drops Castillo!!!!
It’s over!!!

I want to say this...F*** HBO.
What their commentators just said was TOTAL BULLSHIT.
I aint a Hatton fan...but they just totally disrespected him.
They said that he won't or shouldn't get much respect for that fight because Castillo was shot...that's bullshit. While I do think that Castillo is/was on the slide...he is not a finished fighter. Personally...I thought that Castillo was coming on & that this was a really really good fight. That body shot was brutal.
Hatton holds WAY too much for me to like him as a fighter...but shame on gotdam HBO.
That was just wrong.
We have so many fans often asking what is wrong with boxing...I'd like to say that what you just witnessed/heard is one of them.
That was wrong. You don't say things like that when two men put their lives, hearts, & minds on the line & give it all they have. That my friends pissed me the fwock off.
That was my post from Saturday night...while the boss was on & 689+ guests also.
I'm fair & I always say what's on my mind...& I really don't think that what say about Hatton today is anymore different than what I said about him after the Kostya fight.
I don't like his style...but I'm thrilled for him & his fans that he won.
ok i'll leave it at that... ;D

Fair enough...& for the record...while I wasn't LITERALLY trying to set you straight...I was just trying to get you to see that everyone aint all bad mouthy here & we just do things a bit differently here on this joint with our way of discussion...
We just keep the trash talk to a minimum & it makes the joint run smoother.
You seem like good people & wer'e glad to have you aboard.
Cheers & :coolclick: for understanding.
Re: What did you think of Hatton's performance?
From scale of 1 to 10. I give Hatton 8.
A win is a win, eventhough it was an ugly victory.
I hate Hatton's fighting style.
Re: What did you think of Hatton's performance?
Alright now this is getting crazy. Ruiz err Hatton being compared to Floyd is ludicrous. Everyone here who knows my posting in here knows that I'm no fan of PBF but he fights within the rules and he shows plenty of skill.
My problem with Floyd is that I think he is defrauding the public with his claims to be the best without fighting the best in their primes. Now Ruiz, I'm sorry I just keeps coming out that way, Hatton is a likable guy and has good speed and pretty good skill but it's rarely shown because he spends so much time holding and mauling.
I for one, am not a fan of holding and you Hatton fans can defend him all day but it is what it is.
Re: What did you think of Hatton's performance?
I understand why some people do not like Hattons style, he does hold and tangle people up after all, thats his syle. Altough i understand this view i personally do not like the way mayweather fights because regardless of his skill, his fights are a snoozefest, The majority of hattons fights i have seen have been more exciting than the mayweather fights i have seen.
I really do hope Hatton and Mayweather fight, it will diffenently be bigger than the de la hoya fight, both are unbeaten and are in the prime fighters age, both have contrasting styles which people either love or hate, both are champions, 1 is from america and 1 is from england, one is cocky and flashy while the other is an average british guy, it has the ingrediants for a terrific fight. My only other thought is what weight the fight would be fought at, i would guess that it would be at welterweight, in this case although i would want hatton to beat mayweathers cocky ass so bad, i think mayweather would win based on hattons performance against collazo at welterweight.
Re: What did you think of Hatton's performance?
I think he did fine i'd give him a 8 or 9...castillio's performance is in no way hattons fault and reguardless of all that hatton took care of buisness hattons style doesn't bother me as much as some others i think he performed well.
Re: What did you think of Hatton's performance?
Gamo...
EMPTY YOUR BOX...YOUR PM'rs FULL & I CAN'T RESPOND!!!
DELETE DEM MESSAGES BEEEEEEEEEEYOTCH!! ;D
Re: What did you think of Hatton's performance?
usually ricky comes out a row with a cut or a swollen up head so he did well on that account
as for for fight itself he blew the guy away as expected
wot more can u ask of a champ

What Floyd fights have you seen? Apart from Baldimor I can't recall a single fight over which you could realistically say was a snooze fest. ???
His fights with Jesus Chavez, Diego Corrales, Philip N'Dou, De Marcus Corely, Arturo Gatti were all either barnburners or eles a superb clinical display of destructive skill.
Hand on heart apart from the routine defense against Baldomir I have never seen a FLoyd Mawyeather fight that I didn't prefer to every Hatton fight I've ever seen.

:coolclick: Totally agree.
But as I always say when arguements like this arise...it's all in what you like from boxing.
I love a tactical slickster...others have to have a brawler or knockout artist to get a rise outta their seats.
That just aint me.
Brains over brawn...that's why I have always loved the lesser weights & never understood the love of the heavyweight over the middles.
Again...that's just me.
