Would someone translate this into dollars for me?
Curious to know what odds english got with his guys & betting on Winky.
I got B-Hop @ +115 & put a lil change on it.
Winky was -135 with my people.
Can you explain how those odds work? I've never really understood what the +113 and the -268 mean and how they relate to the stake you put down. The only ones we use here are the decimal and fractional odds systems, or at least the only ones I've seen used.
+115 (my post) or ur post +113 would mean u bet $100 to win $115 (+115) mine / $113 (+113) yours.
The (+) is the underdog on the line. $100 wager wins whatever is in front of the (+).
- 145 in my case / -268 in urs means that u (bet $145 to win $100) mine. Or bet $268 to win $100.
The (-) is the favorite. U need to wager whatever is in front of the (-) to win $100.
Much appreciated, I'm now down with the American boxing odds system. CC bro.
To translate into traditional odds you can use this equation
for + American odds do this
American odds/100
so if you have +200 = 200/100 reduced to 2/1
for - American odds you just flip it over and drop the negative.
100/American odds
so if you have -200 = 100/200 reduced to 1/2
