You are obviously a Zealous Oscar fan and thats cool, Oscar is an Alltime great and 1 of my favorites... Mayweather has quite an Impressive KO % himself albeit at lighter weights.. The reoccuring theme lately is Floyds boring...Granted Baldomir wasnt a slugfest, but it didnt need to be..

I'll answer the question I asked you... The Idea of Boxing or any other martial art is to hit or strike your opponent all the while getting hit as little as possible in return...Floyd epitomized that against Baldomir.

The beauty of it is if you dont want buy a Floyd fight then simply dont, thats your perrogative Bro..

Oscar has had his fair share of gifts, and your right I was thinking about Chavez who got the questionable desicion against Pernell, I stand corrected

Quartey was questionable and so was Strum thats not just my opinion but others around these parts, again not taking anything away from Oscar but I dont think he can KO Floyd or even keep up with him at this point..We shall see and I'm sure we both look forward even if we are rooting for different guys ;)

I agree with some of what you said. I am still riding the fence as I am unsure which Oscar will show up. My opinion would be attack while absorbing the damage. Keep punching without letting up. Easier said than done against PBF. On the other hand... you look at PBF's resume and I think Oscar is his toughest opponent to date. If he tries the Baldomir approach, he will get hit more than in that fight, but I think he can win a narrow decision.

Floyd wins by points, although I would love that he loss...

Diego Corrales is 5'11". At the time when he fought PBF he was 33-0, 9 wins more than PBF at the time. Floyd through the first few rounds jabbed him to the chest at will with Corrales barely able to lay a glove on him.

DLH is 5'10.5". Granted his arms are 3 inches longer than Corrales', they are also only 1 inch longer than PBF's. If you think he's afraid to get inside and paint DLH's breastbone you are mistaken. PBF and DLH will be 30 and 34 respectively, next month. All that vaunted speed people tout DLH has was never as much as PBF's to begin with; he's bound to have lost a step in that aspect of his game (though I think he will have made up for it with ring intelligence). Watch, the first 3 rounds will be how frequently DLH's body gets touched then the next 3 PBF will work him upstairs and let DLH chase him around and tire out those legs. And after 7 DLH will look more like 44 as he all but cruises to an L. Maybe he tries a rally in the 10th or 11th but once that peters out it'll be a fargone conclusion.

Remember, PBF doesn't HAVE to come in at 154. He could easily step in at 150 to keep from having 7 pounds of additional mass to carry around the whole night.

De La Hoya by the 7th, to strong and has been at 147 and above for ten years.
Floyd will have to go to the body, it will be a great fight but i just can't see Floyd winning.
I would be more comfortable picking him at 147 not 154.

PBF will frustrate DLH...PBF is too hungry to lose.(1.De la hoya didnt even want to fight PBF at first.2.DLH recently has got himself "fired up"after the tour in miami...which he has said)DLH says that he will fight dirty...lol...He was called a F*G and his wife was put down by Mayorga...and they shook hands and made up after it was over!This is not even gonna be a close fight...I give DLH 3 rounds.For the people saying that DLH will win by KO...what planet are you living on?

It's a close call on paper, although sometimes we're all left surprised when it's all said and done in the way a fight was controlled........

which is what I'm feeling in this case, a pissed off De La stops Floyd in the later rounds. If the stoppage doesn't come it's because Floyd's reluctant to engage and puts on the track shoes.

my reason is simply a pissed off De La, there seems to be a trend at play here again to those whom are familiar with his career.

it may be cliche, but that's the one ingredient he may posses to tip the scales his way in a convincing manner to many a surprise !!

If he comes in too light he will be physically dominated. The matter of fact is that Oscar is bigger, stronger, and has a reach advantage. Everybody is talking about Floyd's skill as if Oscar didn't have any. Oscar has fought the better competition, of small fast fighters, and big strong fighters. Floyds never fought anyone with a height and reach advantage on him, so it will be a first. Floyd has a chance, but it is a slim one, because there is NO WAY that at 154 he can hurt Oscar. Plus, Oscar will be sparring with Shane Mosley to prepare for the fight along with other speedy fighters from his goldenboy promotions stable.
