I would not go as far as putting him number one but i can see him ahead of george that is all that i am saying
whats wrong with Jack in a top ten list? They guy carried fighters for rounds then ko'd them just to earn more on the film rights. I think maybe you should do some homework on the Galveston Giant. He was one of the first great tactical geniuses. Essentially Pernll Whitaker as a HW but could punch.Quote:

That is half the reason i have a problem thinking anyone before the 60's besides louis, Tunney, Rocky, belong on the list
Sorry bud Johnson is one of the few HW's from pre 1950 that could fight todays champs and win. 6'2 220 lbs, awesome defense, footwork, reflexes and good power. He'd beat more than half of most peoples top HW's to include Lewis. You can't hate on a guy b/c he fought 70+ years before you were born.
Have you seen some of the guys he lost to during his carreer as well they weren't great either i thick lewis would kill him in a fight
Sorry Mr 140 but Johnson makes my list so Lewis doesn't.
you realize that Johnson had no amature career dont you? He literally learned how to fight as a pro. 7 of his 14 losses came after his 40th birthday as well. He beats Lennox...Soundly.
No way in hell would Johnson beat Lewis are you serious ?? it would be a mismatch.Quote:

Rating the best Heavies is always difficult as unlike every other division there is no weight cap. Therefore it is hard to measure how one heavy from one era will do against another as they are not the same weight! IMO Johnson is a greater heavyweight than Lewis!!!Quote:
