Ah, so that was before people knew the details of the final plan. Now that it's passed and they do a majority support it, even according to Fox news.

Look at the overcapacity, look at the underutilisation of existing capital stock. The graph looks the same for private investment, employment, you name it. Every number you need to come up in a few months to win your bet is falling off a cliff in the midst of the worst economic conditions for a hundred years. For god's sake don't take the bet, if Lyle is finally right about something we'll never hear the end of it.
So if nobody knows what's in the bill you can't say either way whether people support it or not. But people now have a good idea of the makeup of the bill* and a majority support it.
And I urge you not to take the bet with Killersheep. You're being given the opportunity of finally being right about something and it shouldn't happen. Even the most optimistic Obama plan supporters don't believe Obama will be anywhere near as effective as Killersheep does. You're being allowed to be right at long last about something by default, through no effort of your own, and it isn't right. You continue to make incorrect arguments and claims day after day and the fact that you're consistently wrong about everything you argue and claim doesn't seem to stop this or even make you think about or rethink your beliefs. Finally being right about something will only embolden you. God knows where this could end.
*Because they read the papers, something you should consider trying. You'll find that you're able to argue your points much more effectively if they're backed up by facts and evidence. Of course if you ever do start using facts and evidence in your arguments you'll end up agreeing with me and not disagreeing on the occasions when you start using them.
Jindal rejected that money because of the fact they wanted to make the changes to the unemployment benefits permenant which would cause states to have to raise taxes to pay for the cost when the federal money stopped coming.....pretty wise choice in my view
Again, you could try reading the paper before you go and get it wrong again :
A senior aide to Landrieu agreed that the state would have to change the law to take advantage of the windfall but said the change would not have to be permanent. Instead, the Legislature could write the new law with a "sunset provision" so it expires when the federal stimulus dollars run out.

It's just grandstanding.
LOL at the Republicans rising stars, now you've got two clowns, as if Palin wasn't enough you've got Jindal now who's a bit peadophilish. Just a bit.
What an idiot though, fucking hell. His rationale that Katrina showed that big government was wrong was stupid even for a Republican. And then you've got the creepy factor, what a candidate.
I am greatly enjoying watching the Republicans knock on the door of the dustbin of history. Implode fuckers.
Have fun taking your victory lap now fellas....when things start falling apart on your side it's going to hurt. I doubt the democrats will control Congress for much longer. They have already reclaimed the moniker "spendacrats"....it's only a matter of time before the people turn on them again
Yep because the people are dying for small government and tax cuts for the rich.
Of course anyone with half a brain could see that Republicans are not so much about spending less, just about tax cuts for the rich.
We just have to continue boxing them off, keep them in the south, let the nutjobs, survivalists, racists and Rush Limbaugh (not that I seperate him from the first and third group) vote for true conservatives and we will box the Republicans into the South just like the Democrats were in the years before the Civil War.
Has anybody seen this Right Wronged documentary on HBO? Granted its done by Pelosi's daughter so of course its got an agenda but its borderline scary, actually it is scary. Sick fucks.
Kind of funny too though. This redneck at a Nascar event breaking down into tears, literally bawling ;D because we've elected a black guy to be President. What has this country come to, tears, LOL.
Its amazing what these people will say on camera, even if you don't recognize the name Pelosi.
Anyway, I don't think very many people at all realize what bad shape were in. We have definitely not hit bottom yet, thanks Republicans. I'm antagonizing Lyle now ;D But its true.
Whichever party is in power, their followers have a way of pushing their limits and it usually gets to a point that turns off the majority.
