Re: Anybody have weigh-in information
Floyd never tried to make weight.Shifty 3 card monty last minute deals with Oscar and just figured he'd throw money at the poor little turkey booger eating fellow from meheco rather than work if off.Think someone else filled that glass for Marquez!Still,Floyd may come in around 152ish and Marquez 144.One stuck to their professional obligation and one did not.

Marquez signed off on it bro.. I believe the vast millions plus the fact that he is 10000000000000% convinced that he can beat Floyd is the other reason. JMM is a man on a mission he flew to the Philippines right after the PAC lost and challenged him again at an event.. The guy is one of the last Legacy motivated fighters in the sport.
As far as the whole turkey booger eating poor guy from meheco comment. I really feel as though that discredits JMM more than it illustrates your opinion. JMM and his family wants for nothing, not to mention the guy is a legend and well respected. The fact that he is Mexican had nothing to do with it since he is extremely well off and dosent live in some run down village. Floyd made a calculated risk and didnt breach contract, he just bent the hell out of it.
Re: Anybody have weigh-in information
Tounge in cheek JT...jeez.But I don't think Floyd shares your respect for Marquez, thats obvious to me.Of course Marquez signed off on it...whats he going to do?Beg off and cancel out.Great fighters dont do that!Or maybe stand his ground and demand Mayweather works off the weight...right.

EXACTLY!!!! Why didnt the commission, Berastein, DLH demand Floyd comeback after sweating out 2lbs? If Mayweather came in at 148-149 then yea Bullshit and Fuk Floyd for being a scumbag but provisions were made for the Welterweight limit being the ceiling and stiff penalties were agreed to for over 144, everyone knew the ramifications.. I'll venture to guess DLH, BHOP behind the scenes were probably appreciating Mayweather to themselves for such a calculated move.. Shiit, thats a page out of Hopkins book of a thinking mans fighter. Floyd won round one on that stage..

If you ask me,their all ready smelling the Manny match. Its the only reason Mayweather took this.Over looking to a bigger degree Marquez than Cotto.Big mistakes on both fronts.Point is,its a shit move on Mayweathers part especially considering Marquez was a lightweight coming up.Very unnecessary and I believe unprofessional.Marquez has no friends in that fooking syndicate,Oscar may shake his hand but he's giving Floyd high fives with the other. All smells like a steaming pile to me.
Re: Anybody have weigh-in information
Great points you gents! Made without the smelly nastiness... is like boxing 101, Wisdom from the Sugarman!
Re: Anybody have weigh-in information
again dude, Why are you selling JMM that short.. IF JMM pulls of the upset and Pac gets by Cotto the 3rd installment of their trilogy would be on par with ALI/Frazier Gatti/Ward etc..
The money generated for a 3rd fight at the highest level of notoriety and mainstream would be ridiculous. JMM legend and popularity picked up an assload of steam, did you see the heroes reception he got in episode 4 when he arrived in LA? Did you notice the pro JMM crowd during the weigh in?
Seriously Spicoli a JMM win would send Mexico into a frenzy coupled with the passionate Filipino fanbase of PAC on the grandest stage??? Just as electrifiying as a Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight
Re: Anybody have weigh-in information
I don't think there was anything cool in the move that Floyd pulled earlier on. It was cold and calculating. The public was led to believe that this fight was a 144 pound catchweight. The fact that Floyd couldn't....or wouldn't (as seems more likely) meet that catch weight is the issue here. He has decieved the boxing public with his carry on even if he hasn't decieved Richard Schaeffer.
I hope we get a great fight like anyone, but I cannot help but feel that this was a manipulated situation. There is nothing to credit Floyd for in pulling this stunt. Of course Marquez is a warrior and will fight regardless, but that really is not the point. If the fight was for 147 five months ago then why wasn't that made clear? The fans have been duped in this scenario.
Re: Anybody have weigh-in information
I guess the upside to this is now absolutely nobody expects JMM to win, thus he loses no credibility at all in a probable loss.
If indeed Floyd comes in around 149 on fight night, that's not a massive difference to figting a 145lb Pac like JMM did in their 2nd fight.

In that sense you are right, but Pac did make the contracted weight come the weigh in.

Floyd's choice! Had Floyd came in another pound over he would have been fined by the commission %10 of his guaranteed that's $1,000,000. Floyd had the time to sweat it out but opted to pay the 2 lbs.

Were talking about 2 damn pounds here, you really feel so duped and cheated to the point of disgust over 2 pounds. If you felt like it was a gross mismatch from jump street than fine, but 2lbs certainly aint a David and Goliath mismatch and isnt going to automatically shoot this fight to shit

Welterweight limit is the contract with a built in deterrent over 144lbs

2 pounds doesn't sound like much but it makes a heck of a difference when dealing with these smaller men. They are after all 4 pounds different which is a weight class apart in the smaller divisions. It isn't David and Goliath but you know that Marquez has made great efforts to bulk up, whereas Mayweather who will earn 3 times as much has just turned up how he wants.
It's an issue of ethics and morals and Mayweather is seemingly absent of both in this situation. Like you, all I want is a good fight. I expected the fight to be at 144 like most others did. You cannot help but feel shortchanged that it's not though. This fight was billed as a catchweight fight. I don't see the catchweight though. :-\

Not selling him short brutha. You very well know that, come on.Just trying to go light on the kool aid.All is stacked against Marquez, everything and yes I picked him in this fight.Heart a factor as well as long time fan but I also think he has a solid mental make up that Floyd can only experience through reading.
