Level going into the last
I gave it to Geale. By one round. He one the last. Very close fight and lots of close rounds so no issues with the result. 116-111 Barker was poor.
I still don't think Barker is as good as Macklin or Murray. He showed me he has heart tho which I didn't think was there. What I know for fact is he has 0 chance against GGG.
Great to see a new British champ and hopefully he doesn't fight GGG and has a few domestic fights.
You still seem to be having trouble keeping it down. I hope he fights Sturm, Murray or Geale again and ignores Macklin who probably thinks his own shit smells like Roses.Quote:

Yep - fair play. I agree with you, there are very few Australians who go over and beat the best in the States also. Britain actually has far more who go over and take on the best than Australia do. I guess I was more so thinking about those hideous manadatories that somehow bob up at times. Patrick Charpentier is one who springs to mind. Greenbeanz - I thought I ate enough humble pie in the article! I was trying to poke a bit of fun at myself in that I'd judged this bloke based on absolutely no first-hand evidence, and he really surprised me with what he brought. More fool me. I really enjoyed the fight, it was a ripper, and I really enjoyed watching how thrilled Barker was when the cards were tallied.
Sturm would be a good fight. Be very close too. I think Barker needs to stay clear of the bigger punchers in the division.Quote:
