De La Hoya v Felix Sturm - Sturm had to wait 2 years before getting another title shot
Ali v Norton 3 - Norton is never remembered in the same light of Frazier, Foreman and Ali, but another win over Ali could have seen him up there
Sven Ottke v Mads Larson - Larson was never the same fighter and took years out of the sport because of the decision
Joel Casamayor v Jose Santa Cruz - Casamayor has gone on to beat Katsidis and is lining up a fight with Nate Campbell or Juan Diaz while Santa Cruz is left to re build his career
Here's 16 pgs. of that... :)

Re: What's the biggest boxing robbery of all time.
I remember Britkid talking about a fight one time in Germany where the German fighter was losing to the foreign guy but the judges scored like 11 even rounds and then the final round to the home fighter to win the fight.
Anybody know what fight he was talking about?

Re: What's the biggest boxing robbery of all time.
The Kid Diamond-Huerta fight was pretty much an in-your-face robbery.

Man...Never had the pleasure. That guy was a phenom ??What ever happened to him?Britkid
That fight sounds familiar, seems like some one recently had mentioned that one

Re: What's the biggest boxing robbery of all time.
Britkid was awesome, he wouldn't tell you about how Mayweather matches up to Cotto but if you had to know the result of a 1932 flyweight eliminator in Thailand then Britkid was your man. He knew so much about the history of the sport it was amazing.

or my fav. one, when he did one of his trivia threads he asked.
Who was the 1st boxer to win a title under the Queensberry Rules?
:D Fucken brilliant.

Re: What's the biggest boxing robbery of all time.
Leonard over Hagler.........It was Hagler all the way.
-
Re: What's the biggest boxing robbery of all time.
Worst robbery ever is Jones/Park Si Hung. I mean its really the only fight I can think of where it was a COMPLETE mismatch, a COMPLETE domination, and the wrong guy got the win.
Runner up for me is Chavez/Whitaker. The first few rounds were reasonably close, but the rest of the fight was a Whitaker schooling. I don't see how anyone could give Whitaker any less than 9 rounds, but thats boxing for ya.

Dave Tiberi vs James Toney What A Disgrace
This fight was recently uploaded so i watched it to see if it was true that Tiberi got robbed and it indeed was. This fight wasn't even close Tiberi outworked and out hustled Toney all night, heres the first part.

Re: Dave Tiberi vs James Toney What A Disgrace
He was fighting like Floyd Mayweather with power.
He was class and had great skills. Toney, Jones, Nunn and Mcallum could have competed in any era I think .

Re: Dave Tiberi vs James Toney What A Disgrace
That was fraud. THose judges should have been thrown in prison after that decision.

Re: What's the biggest boxing robbery of all time.

I am not a fan of holding, and I prefer the puncher to the boxer, but the ref was way out of line in that fight. The judges didn't have much of a choice the way the ref was interfering.

Re: What's the biggest boxing robbery of all time.
I am gonna have to go with Abraham- Miranda.
Miranda literally made Abraham quit, and the promoter and ref continued the fight. I have seen early stoppages and they never reversed them and let the guys keep fighting, but they did in Germany.
In addition they took 5 points for fouls. That was fixed if there ever was one.

How the fuck did tim bradley only get the decision on witter by a point??
Had him winning by 3-4 rounds like everyone else yet one judge somehow had witter by 3 rounds??:confused::confused:

Re: What's the biggest boxing robbery of all time.
Probably already mentioned but Demetrius Hopkins over Steve Forbes was blatant.
Also, Carl Thompson over that tubby French felow on the undercard of Hatton vs. Maussa.
-
Re: What's the biggest boxing robbery of all time.
Tommy Hearns vs Sugar Ray Leonard II.
-
Re: What's the biggest boxing robbery of all time.
Augustus vs Courtney Burton was the most disgusting robbery I've ever watched personally. Whittaker Chavez was a robbery, and probably the worst in such a high profile fight. Lennox Holyfield is almost as bad. Casa over Santa Cruz was a blatant robbery as well, same with a Kid Diamond fight last year(can't even remember the guy who was robbed)
-
Re: What's the biggest boxing robbery of all time.
Sven Ottke v Robin Reid was an awful decision.
Another one you may not know of was on the undercard of the 1st series Contender finale. Anthony Bonsante v Jesse Brinkley the rematch, Bonsante outpunchd and dominated him the 5 rounds, the decision was bullshit

Yea Bosante vs Brinkley 2 was terrible i scored it 4-0-1 for Bosante, he almost tripled Brinkley in punches landed.

Re: What's the biggest boxing robbery of all time.
Orlin Norris Vs. Arthur Williams 1......rewatched yesterday and Norris STILL lost Imo. Wrecked Williams in rematch though :fight:
