As an MAB fan,I remember how much he struggled with Juarez the first time,and Pac is better than Rocky in every catgeory. Secondly, YES,MAB did outbox Rocky the second time but Juarez does not apply anywhere near the same amount of pressure as Manny and I don't think it is possible to fight Pacquaio without engaging in some toe to toe at some stage. I don't see MAB jolding him off with just a jab and a few hooks,no way.

I've been silent all these years on this matter because I don't want to make excuses. But I'd like to give some facts about this (JMM) fight. Yes, Pac showed his swollen fists immediately after the fight there at the ringside on the local television, although I don't think that was a big problem. Here are some other facts: First, they treated this fight as a tune-up match before perhaps a fight with Morales, though it was just still a talk at that time (remember, this was immediately after the big Barrera fight). Second, because of that, it was widely publicized that Pac came late for his training to the dismay of coach Roach and he complained Pac came in completely out of shape. Third, during the short training period, Pac injured his legs. All these were widely publicized at that time but I guess only the Pac fans like me read those Pac articles. And most importantly, fourth, immediately after the fight right there at the ringside, the local television crew interviewed Pac and he showed both his feet; they had unusually large blisters and was swollen really badly that anyone who saw them would wonder how he can even walk with those feet (you can take my word for it, I don't lie) - Attention, any Pinoy who recorded the video of this, please post it somewhere so others can see and believe!!! He complained that he was easily counterpunched after the second round coz he cannot lunge at Marquez quickly enough, if it weren't for this, he would have ko'd Marquez easily. He said that he wanted an immediately rematch, smiling confidently (some like my friend Gyrokai says stupid smile ;D, hi Gyro ;)), adding he can do easily the next time around. Marquez clearly knew that, his actions later clearly showed it. Maybe I don't need to prove that. I think the proof came from the Marquez camp itself. They rejected the rematch even when they were offered their biggest paycheck. Ok Marquez fans, if we pacfans says that Pacman clearly won that fight (which I don't), we'd be just blind fanatics. But if you believe that Marquez didn't accept the offer because it was a 'peanuts,' and instead took a measly $30,000 just to be beaten in some deep jungle, you would be as blind as some of the pac fanatics. And it's not only the fault of his trainer either, don't tell us that a boxer doesn't have a say in choosing his opponents. But I think he might just accept the rematch some day when he is ready to retire just for the money, but then it would be unfair again for the Pac because almost certainly he would be fighting a shot fighter and when he wins, he'd be accused of beating up an old man again; Pacman always loses there.

I'll rest my case at this point coz arguing further with fans will be exercise in futility - there just got to be a stop somewhere. I've made my point clear enough. ;) ;) ;)

I'll keep saying your blind if you keep on making assumptions about what I say in one post.

I have stated in the past everywhere & elsewhere that I think Marquez & Barrera are the best Mex-men out there...but the fact is...JMM stood up to Pac the best & that is the fight that needs to be seen the most.

Pac shut Barrera out & Pac is now the man that runs the division...not Barrera.

All roads end at Pac for boxers & for fans now. He has made his statement & like him or not, fan of him or not, it's time everyone faced that fact.

As far as your statements about Pac fighting corpses...that's a joke. Morales wasn't a corpse, Marquez wasn't, nor was Larios. I don't write off anyone...I give them a shot...but the one who I give the shot the most too would be Marquez.

Barrera, in all reality, does not deserve the second chance...he got his a** handed to him the first time. Marquez got up & gutted it out like a warrior & won the match...bring on the rematch.

I don't need to defend Wacko here coz he is quite capable of defending himself. But let me defend El Gamo, since he's not here yet. El Gamo is no Pac fan, believe me. He's a massive El Terrible (note the El in his name) fan and he's been wishing ever since that some tough brute will kick the azz of my boy. But we get alone very well. You know why? It's simply because he puts some 'reality' in dealing with some other fans including all the pac fans here. I still remember how he approached me when I was a timid newbie here looking for a friendly face. Then this bully, strutting a big name 'The Game' ;), appeared from nowhere and scared me with his trademark introduction: My boy Erik can whip your boy's azz in his prime, and he was a much better boxer then by 'far and away.' (And believe me he did something like that to some newbie again several months ago and I couldn't help myself but laugh really hard) But you now, he did that with a big smile and with big open arms, and we've been good friend ever since. Put Saturday night into perspective . Pac was beating a guy with 3 out of 4 losses. Also realise that Barrera can dominate a world class opponent like Juarez in second gear . Then you should have a whole new outlook on a possible Pac-Barrera return .

Personally, I don't want to see this fight. Pacquiao power has never being this strong, I think his power has come to a peak. He knocked down Morales 3 times all with one shot, the first when Erik was not even hurt yet, and the last two sending his body flying. I couldn't imagine how those punches, which the writer described as having a 'freakish power', will affect a battle-scarred 33-year old Barrera's brain. He don't need this, period.

But for Game, you might just get your wish coz this fight is where the next fight is pointing at, although, as I've said and as the writer of the article also said, it is doubtful if Barrera will take this fight. But cheer up, you've got a good chance.

I am a Morales & a Barrera fan...not a Pacquiao fan...but the facts are in front of your face...unless your'e YES to blind to see them. Pac won. Convincingly over two legends of whom I have great respect to...so I respect Pac. Marquez was not washed up, Barrera was not, nor was Morales. Morales lost against Pac & Raheem & Barrera. Raheem was a technical boxer & that is something that has always given Erik problems. I'd settle with you GAME...I would...but I think your'e wrong here & the facts support it. Pac beat & drew with 3 Mexican legends...& he's also destroyed others.

Let me add something here that may help in the discussion. Many always say that Pac beat an ol' washed-out Morales as if Pac had absolutely no chance against younger Erik. For your info, in 1999 the 'prime' Morales ko'd a boxer named Reynante Jamili on the 6th, while on that same year a young Pac, not near his peak, finished the same guy in 2 rounds. No I'm not trying to imply naively that Pac was even better then; but then, doesn't this piece of solid fact mean anything to those who say Pac can only beat washed out Erik? Just asking.

The issue here isnt showing Pac respect . He has my respect . I was making reference to you writing off a legend like Marco but I ended it when I said time will tell but some ( no names ) want to keep going with insults , so am I supposed to just take it with no reply ?

Juarez was a live opponent and proved in the 1st Barrera fight how dangerous he was . Morales was coming off 3 out of 4 losses so like Larios he was clearly in decline . Sorry for highlighting this , I didnt think it would get such an aggressive response

Honestly...I like the discussions...but there really is no need for ANY of us to argue further.

Pac has made his point. He has beaten the top Mexi'z & he's improving his game...only time will tell...but he did one hell of a thing...he kept his promise.

Pacquiao & camp stated 2 years ago that he would dismantle all of the Mexican champions one at a time...no matter what it took.

This is one of the other reasons that I chose not to like or believe in Pac.

Proved me wrong in a big way. He took my favorites & chopped 'em up like no others.
