Thanks for the rbr Wack. I was surprised to see Judah get beaten up badly like that. He looked terrible imo after the third round. He just went into survival mode and when he did let his hands go he was effective. Either way, he showed heart but I think its time for him to hang em up.

tbh i take my hat off to Judah he actually came to fight it just he was prity much out classed by Cotto, what a F***ing animal. Mayweather v Cotto has gotta happen now. The way Cotto so effectively cut off the ring, it would be interesting to see how Mayweather would cope but hell i'd never bet against my boy PBF not in a million years but Cotto is defo up there in Mayweathers class no doubt about it.

A very good fight so hats off to both fighters. Cotto was awesome and stuck to the job in hand and just kept coming on with pressure. Not even the nasty cuts deterred him. Zab did show a lot of heart by continuing and trying to fight back, but you need more than heart to win. You need an effective gameplan and Zab seemed to be lacking one or else unwilling to go through with it. Zab clearly had the tools to hurt Cotto and did so numerous times. Its frustrating that Zab was too inactive to steal a lot of the rounds and have the confidence to go on the offensive more. I think Cotto can be stopped, but it jsut takes the confidence to try and open him up and crack that chin whilst knowing there is every chance he is going to crack you back if you miss. Zab seemed unwilling to take that risk whence the low punch output and loss of key rounds.
I dont mind having gotten my pick wrong (I was well aware I was supporting a huge underdog). Zab showed flashes of why I thought he had a chance. Unfortunately it was shown all too rarely. Zab spoke after the fight of a rematch. He doesnt deserve a rematch. Zab should get back in the gym and just take on a few warm up matches and just get active again. Only then should he think about stepping up again.
It wasnt fight of the year because it was too one sided but it was a thoroughly entertaining fight. A fight that sold out Madison Square and can only have been good for boxing.

Last night was a beautiful for boxing fans...even if you wanted Judah to lose...even if you wanted him to win...no matter what...you won...we won.
Judah gave a great accounting of himself...even though he lost...he won to me...he redeemed himself...really...he did.
Cotto was amazing...really REALLY amazing.

I think that Judah gave a great accounting of himself. The low blows...I was shocked that he made it through those so well...but damn he fought for survival & IWO gave some scares here & there until the brutal end.

Honestly...he shocked me too. He took away Zabs speed & negated the majority of his abilities.

Cotto is indeed scary at 147. This performance was brutal and wasnt wasnt easy viewing for me, but it was a great fight and Cotto turned out to be clearly the better fighter and I have to give him my props. There are no excuses on my part. Im seldom one for excuses anyways. Judah was more and more gun shy as the fight wore on and Cotto imposed himself more and more. Agreed. It was a beat down in the end.
Cotto has proven he is amongst the top 4 welterweights. It will be interesting to see where he goes from here.

CC back,glad to see your not making excuses. Yep,I nailed Oscar Floyd,all my points came true,I nailed this and hopefully Tony PW next! I'd put Cotto in top 3 easy,I think at this stage in theri careers,he'd give Mosley fits. The only style I'd see giving him problems is someone bigger,a natural WW,like PW or Tony. Margarito's style would be difficult for him but his would be for Tony,a toss up fight imo.
Judah gave his all,and I actually gave him alot of respect after the fight. He showed alot more heart than I've ever seen before,and trained harder than he has for a long long time. That was the best Judah,Cotto was just too good.
Props must go to Amat and Danny G who called this fight correctly too.

And I reiterate what I have said all the way through,people who hate on Cotto or suck Floyds balls say why should Floyd fight him. Floyd himself says what has he done etc but EVERYONE knows how dangerous Cotto is now. He is much much more dangerous than Oscar and anyone else Floyd has fought. I'm not saying he would ebat Floyd but he wuld be a tougher test then the gys Floyd has been facing.

It was also great because Soto looked good too! Apart from those 2 haymakers he was shaken by,his defence had improved,nice movement,and the guy throws combination after combination. Combined with his jab,his bodywork and ability to take a punch,he is dangerous for anyone in the division.
I actually cannot believe he took that bomb,buckled totalyl at the knees and rather than hold on,fought back!!! Thats how you can tell he was Erik Morales main sparring partner for like a year! What a warrior!

On June 9th we witnessed exactly what I said we were. A complete dominance on the part of M.Cotto. I told everyone on this page that Judah's style favored Cotto and not many wanted to believe me. I don't buy anything Judah says because he is like Mayweather....They are in for the money and not for the glory. Judah had his moments early just as I predicted, but once his power was not effected, It became a 1 sided fight.
Those low blows were low but that didn't determine the fight! Cotto's determination did! This man kept coming forward and forward!
Cotto is dangerous!!! because he put constant pressure on his opponents. His speed & power was clearly shown 2nite!!
I hope M.Cotto get the respect he deserves from his boxing critics!! Boxing needs fighters like Cotto.....Fighters that come to fight and not 4 the money!!
Hats off to Judah because he hung in there for a while, but i said it and I'll say it again.....Judah is over rated @ 147!!!
Not even a focused Judah could beat Cotto on his best night!!!!!

I agree...I was impressed with both...but Cotto more because he finally showed that he can hang with the elite. Judah was focused & Cotto just ate him alive.

Cotto's one of my favorites & he fought beautifully last night...but he was still open to many of Judah's shots & he was hurt several times.
Floyd wouldn't be such an easy task & Floyd would TOTALLY punish Cotto...but it'd be a great fight.
I was pleased with Cotto, as I always am, but as a fan of his...I just wish that he'd tighten up his defense.

Totally agree...but don't start saying that Floyd's dodging him...because believe me...he aint.
Floyd called on Cotto & Cotto said he wasn't ready...I think that was about 2-3 years ago...whenever Floyd fought Brusseles.

I know you do babe...but I want you to remember back to when Margarito just fought Clottey & Clottey took it to Margarito...even injured & fighting with one hand...Cotto is three times the pressure fighter & he's more vicious with his body blasts.
Cotto's stock should have sky rocketed last night amongst his critics.
