As for the number of mods, which the re-bump asked.

There's only a few active mods that post on a regular basis, however, Master spams the board about 5 times a day so it looks like there's loads of mods talking to each other, when really it's just one divvy sticking his oar in every thread

They will argue that there is no room for the racism of the likes of Denilson, but long time posters know that racism has long been ignored here. In fact a lot of things get ignored, but if you trigger a Mod you get the kind of post seen above. Those are the examples one must follow.

I don't feel like an especially bitter, aging man, but what I do feel is that people get banned unfairly and that is all that I was pointing out. Instead you end up with a strange kind of character assassination as a response. Seeing as to how Mods have the authority to warn/ ban posters based on their own interpretation of the rules, yes.... I'd say the number of mods in a forum is a relevant/ understandable question. On a much lesser scale, it's kind of like how many cops do you need in a community. One per thousand citizens? One per hundred? Is it possible that the more you have the higher the probability that one or more may not be fit to be cops? That some may abuse their power? That the probability rises that you may be giving authority to someone who does not deserve it?

How many Mods are necessary? Probably enough to ensure sufficient oversight of a forum 24/7.... but not too many as to not increase the possibility of recruiting an unfit Mod. Just a tad more relevant than the weather, I'd say.

Pretty sure Spicoli and poor old iamunit got some flack from the usual suspects when they were made mods. As this thread shows smashup caused a stir with some.
