Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
I could see the cards being closer than the fight actually was. PBF took a couple of rounds off and there were also a couple of close ones.

Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
All we need now is a split decision

Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
What did Guerrero get paid for that?
-
Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
What in the fuck are the Guerrero camp celebrating?
-
Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
If I was Showtime, I'd be pissed at paying so much money for a boring ass fight.

The oddsmakers were right. Guerrero did not belong in the same ring with Mayweather.

Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
Next time Broner calls Floyd his "big brother" ask him what happened to his backfoot boxing gene at birth
Guerrero did what he could with what he brought to work. 9-3 Mayweather

Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
9-3 Mayweather. It's become very predictable, but then again, it was always a daft fight. Just no point in a fight like that. At 36 Mayweather should be going out on a high and not picking on tubby bellied LW's. Guerrero was dire, one dimensional, and refused to follow the blueprints set by the likes of Cotto and to a lesser extent Hatton.
At range and boxing? Twit.

Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
Floyd telling his dad to shut up.
-
Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
I had a feeling he had hurt his hand. He could've easily put Guerrero away.
-
Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
I was hoping Floyd was done with blaming his "hurt hands" . Thats just fucking weak...still

Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
Guerrero is an idiot. You fought like a plank, showed no dimensions, and want to waffle on about praising Jesus. The style and rhetoric turns me off completely. They should have booed him.

LOL.
Yeah another boring shit show. Floyd still looks real sharp. Hopefully his next fight will be again someone who can really shake him up a bit.
Robert Guerrero is annoying with his Jesus bullshit, who did he inspire with that shit show? I was falling asleep at my damn computer. He also can't answer a fucking question straight.
"Did you feel that you could solve his defense"
"Ya know, Floyd did his thing and what can I say"
Mush-mouthed asshole.

There was no need for Guerrero to spear the corner

Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
Praise Jesus. Jesus was clearly pissed at Guerrero's gameplan so punished him with a steady diet of right hands.

I'm drunk right now but I saw the fight a lot closer then people are sayin. Guerrero didn't look bad to me. I'll watch it again and rescore it. But mayweather didn't look that good.

Maybe or showtime only showing mayweathers highlights and none of guerreros. Or maybe Guerrero didn't land any punches and mayweather did but I'm pretty sure a lot of mayweathers hit gloves as well but maybe glove punches count only for him and not for others

I saw a Floyd that couldn't miss with the lead right hand, and according to CompuBox landed about 60% of his power shots. But he took a couple of rounds off. Had he not, he may have had Guerrero in a heap of trouble there.
-
The fight pretty much ended up like I thought it would. Mayweather should fight Alvarez, Martinez, or Pacquiao. Anybody else between 147-160 would be a cake walk.

Don't drink and watch, it impairs your watching.

I saw him miss quite a few and get caught with mean left hooks/uppercuts to the body. Mayweather was hesitant to lead with the right hand for a while. Don't get me wrong he landed a few but Guerrero landed a lot of punches that I feel he wasn't counted for either. I just think the fight was a lot closer then people are saying. I'll rewatch it sober though to see how off I am though lol I just hope I'm not off that bad 0_o

Fight won easily 10-2 and thats being kind.
Floyds defense is back to how it was AND he is at the correct weight.
Its easy to say robert should have done this or that but when your getting countered all night and nearly knocked out in the 8th round you can get reluctant.
Floyd ducked and weaved all over the place and showed he can beat southpaws just as easy.
September should be even better.
-
Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
I think guerrero had a better time of it then he is being given credi5t for but I still gave him 1 round. Still, it wasnt like Floyd- Gatti orthe Marquez mismatch. I think mayweather fought a really nice fight thougn. Early, I thought he was too stationary and legitmately thought that maybe his kegs really were leaving him. Against Cotto, he actually needed to combination punch because he wasnt moving as much as he shoukd have been. One day Floyds legs will go and Floyds dominance of the sport will go with it. I thought maybe the Cotto bout was a precursor to that but that was proven wrong. Good fight, great effort by Guerrero and a better job by Mayweather. After a year layoff, there was absolutely adversity early but it didnt seem to matter.
Btw I watched in a movie theater and that was an awesome experience.

Robert should have just thrown evertything at floyds body from the get go fayse u ain't connecting on his nogin

Re: Mayweather Vs Guerrero thread
Great performance yet again by Mayweather but still another boring fight:vd:

Floyd never had Guerrero in any danger of being stopped, he dominated and IMO won 9 to 3 but lets not get carried away now, he never stunned, rocked, or had Guerrero remotely hurt much less close to being stopped
that being said, IMO Floyd even at 36 walks right through Broner, would love the build up to that fight also, Floyd would rip him a new ass for ripping off his gimmick

Yes he did.
He hurt him in the 8th round.
That was fairly obvious even with floyds delicate hands.

Floyd always does exactly what is needed to win.
I think Floyd made a mistake when he was going for the KO and hurt his hand, if it's broken it could put the Showtime deal in question.
Of course, there will be something in the contract about injuries, as there should be.
It's just something else to throw into the maelstrom surrounding Floyd.
Floyd Mayweather, drama king.
