Pray tell who do you have? Which fighter in their 4th weightclass looks better?
What a joke that only 10 pounds and it makes that much weight classes not to mention the talent pool in those division are shallow as can be. Add all those classes up and it is same amount of active fighters in the 147 division.
147 is the most overrated division in the sport right now. The fact you mention 147 speaks poorly. But I appreciate you dodging the question. Answer it if it's a joke. I'll ask it again to keep it simple for you. What fighter in their 4th divisuon looks better?
Step up and answer big guy.
I am not rating the division the same i can think of guys that look better then that moving up 10 pounds that are in 130 to 145 division. Andre Ward and Kovlev are better fighters along with Crawford as well when comes to talent.
That's twice you've dodged the question. You said it was a joke. If it was a joke it should be easy to answer. So again, what fighter in their 4th division looks better?
Pac still active looks way better then this guy did losing to a guy i have near heard of. There you go as for who is better in pound for pound as talent and depth of division i already named the guys.
Well, you're wrong. But at least you stopped dodging the question.
On to the current fight.

Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG

Did I say 147 was overrated historically, no. Why change what was said. Can't you make an honest argument?
For fucks sake take it into another thread later will you. watch the fight and comment on it .
I can watch the fight and answer the guys question good knock down by GGG. I am just answering the question he is asking me earlier i am watching the GGG vs Jacobs fight as well.

Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
Damn good recoup last minute after being dropped ugly. Golovkin jab is tuning him up
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
Golovkin with the KD, Jacobs came back well in the second half of that round though. He is very intelligent.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
that body shot just about finished jacobs :S not long left now
-
Jacob's has gone southpaw in the 5th
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
Again Jacobs looked in trouble, but finished the round very well.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
Jacobs is doing pretty good considering all the shots he was hit with. Anyone saying he did not have a chin after that is nuts most people would of been done after that and he coming back.

I think he might have won it to be honest.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
Jacobs falling in like Wilder late in 5th. He's going for body which leaves him on the front porch collecting. Golovkin should kick in the door next round
-
Jacob's back to orthodox and landing hard body shots in the 6th
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
I think Jacobs is doing very well here. At times GGG is coming on but Jacobs then makes him look pedestrian.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
I think I have Jacobs by a point right now. Really good showing by him.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
Jacobs took over that round and stopping his guy with the speed and technique. Keeps like this Jacobs going to win this round pretty good fight so far hope Jacobs can pull it off.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
jacons looks pretty awkward as southpaw i think.. he just doesnt seem smooth at all :S i am not sure if this is the best bet for him

Moving up three pounds is a massive amount for the little lads. Choco only moved up to chase money fights and it's not worked out for him. If there was more depth at flyweight and a bunch of TV-friendly fights he'd still be there.
Does not change the fact that the talent pool in those division are shallow even more so the heavyweight. I mean he great fighter but the division slim compared to 135,147,175 and even 160 has a better talent pool to it.
Yes it is shallow. FFS, one of the top p4p guys just lost to an unknown Thai bloke. But if he'd stuck to a weight class that his frame dictates he should be in he'd still be p4p. Just not in line for money fights, but now he isn't anyway.

Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
canelo is going to beat ggg btw, I am betting on that now... left hook to body ko by canelo :S errr if it ever happens of course
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
Jacobs really wants this. He is going nowhere and GGG is starting to breathe heavily. Fascinating.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
Jacobs by 2 now. GGG looks frustrated.

Jacobs is the only one landing body-shots.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
Jacobs concentrated and strong in 7th. Golovkin following him into corners with too much patience. He needs to close and quick and go
-
Triple G could lose this, Jacob's is moving a lot and landing quick blows making triple G look very slow.
-
These are not easy rounds to score
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
jacobs trainer is right i think, golovkin really doesnt like it to the body :S
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
When Brooks was out boxing the champ i had a good feeling that Jacobs could do it as well. Brook did not have the power but the speed Jacobs got the power and the speed to do it as well.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
I have Jacob's by 3 now. If it wasn't for GGG's reputation, I think this would be perceived as a lot more lopsided right now.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
Still not overly keen on Golovkin. Got this fairly even. Jacobs is awkward.
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
Golovkin no likey that body shot in 8th. He needs to get his head out of his arse and now war with Jacobs. Golovkin starting to cover and back..
-
Triple G hurts Jacob's in the 9th and wins the round. Golovkin needs to throw more punches
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
If Jacob's didn't get buzzed there at the end, he had that round. He seemed to feel GGG's power for the first time.
-

Been saying he has a weakness to the body since the Adama fight. He wouldn't show it much but after a body shot he would act like he was continuing to attakc but not throw punches for like 20/30 seconds.
Everyone has some weaknesses though. And GGG doesn't have many.

I think the power of Jacobs is throwing him off not to mention the speed difference. He is looking like he is fighting in slow motion for most of the fight just not going well as it goes late.

bill adama would have found a way to win :S

Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
Jacobs 10th handily. GGG looking a bit like Provodnikov now.
-
Jacob's wins 10th could be an upset
-
Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
i was whining about the cost of the ppv and whether it was worth it but I think since the 6th round of teh cuadras fight this ppv has really kicked into high gear, turns out it was wel worth it !

Re: Gennady Golovkin v Daniel Jacobs - 18/3/17 MSG
On what planet is GGG out landing Jacobs by 40 shots? Did I read that wrong?

His jab is an after thought. He was adjusting to knocking Danny off balance with it early, attacking into corner follow up but has been literally following without it last few rounds. Danny is quick but Golovkin simply is not working, zero plan b. Credit to Jacobs because he has found life big time here.
