Watched Eddie Murphy Daddy Day Care Centre which is a good children’s films that you can enjoy.
Canada's 1972 masterpiece 'FaceOff'.........dude.....it was so bad it was worse than 'Face/Off' (starring John Travolta and Nicholas Cage) AND worse than 'Sudden Death' (starring Jean Claude Van Damm) combined.
The story of a hayseed hockey player with stars in his eyes who meets up with a blonde folk/rock/peacenick hippy girl who confuses him and has him get on the outs with the Toronto Maple Leafs manager who is also Dean Vernon Wormer of 'Animal House' fame AND Chief Ferret in 'Fraternity Vacation' AND Chief Mooney in 'Killer Clowns From Outer Space'.
The movie has no ending...no closure.....no true storyline either. I don't even know what the fucking plot was!!!!
I've since started watching the Bolshevik propaganda movie 'Battleship Potemkin'......the rallying cry is "For a spoonful of borscht".....also who puts a rallying cry in a silent film? Bolsheviks that's who! It is difficult for me to watch this movie as it's one of those movies which is hilarious but it's not meant to be hilarious.....you know, like 'Grizzly Man' or 'Slingblade'
Today was Groundhog Day for me. Again. It's still a great film though.
Life is a kind of Groundhog Day. Today let's have a laugh and the same day happens so let's be less enthusiastic and the next same day it gets annoying. I can totally understand Bill Murray jumping off of buildings and things.
For me Bill Murray was the greatest comic of all because I could just relate to him. Always being pissed off and annoyed with everyone. It's just realistic.
12 yrs a slave last night.
I would give it 7/10.
Wolf of Wall Street - Brilliant film, loved it from start to finish. The whole vintage ludes piece was amazing.
Gravity - I started off gripped by it but wound up not giving a flying fuck if she lived or melted.
My Cousin Vinnie - Still brilliant.
Wolf of wall street is mustard!
Leonardo Di'Caprio should have hot an Oscar for that.
When he's trying to get to his car during his cerebral pawlsy drug moment is one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen.
Can genuinely relate to a lot of the states he's in in that movie ;)
I went to the Cinema on Wednesday night with the missus to see the Lego Movie.
Gave me a fucking headache.
Way to much going on visually andcan only really describe it as being on acid.
We had her 4 year old daughter with us who fell asleep.
Def a boys film ;)
It was movie night and it was my girl's turn to pick the movies and I was forced to watch......
12 years of slavery- full of cliche, it didnt hit me at all.. shit movie
Twighlight- I can see why females love this flick but I can also picture faggots loving it too.. It put me to sleep

Welcome to the jungle (Jean Claude) = Sh-t ;)
Assassination Games (jean Claude) not bad :)
The book thief (kinda boring)
Out of the Furnace (Christian Bale) could have been better :-\
Justice League War, I liked it ;D
I did watch Serenity again ;D
I'm not big on Jean Claude but that movie JVCD was quite good
Very good role for him.
That opening scene was awesome ;)
You should watch the latest Universal Soldier (Day of Reckoning) I still have no idea f the story line but it was brutal action. Just remember to cover your eyes when you hear a vibrating sound, that strobe light gave my missus a sever head ache. All I can say is the film is an assault on the senses :)
Watched Confessions which is a 2010 Japanese drama film based on housewife-turned-author Kanae Minato's 2008 debut mystery novel that won the 2009 Japan Booksellers Award. The filming is brilliant and the story excellent.
Watched Blades of Glory, Will is hilarious.
Prisoners with Hugh Jackman.
Excellent thriller.
Bizzare way to end a film though :/
Watched Predators, where a group of people land on a planet and are hunted by the alien species. I did not realise there were so many of these films. I just recently watched aliens v predator where they landed in a small town in the USA.
I got into a lil movie marathon last night.. I watched Dances With Wolves and The Bodyguard..
Coming To America - I'd forgotten just how funny this film was.
Arsenio Hall & Eddie Murphy were both outstanding in character.;D
The Hunt - a Danish film about a teacher that gets accused of being a peado. This is brilliant (if you like slow dramas). There's never any doubt that he's innocent from our perspective (that's not giving anything away) but the impact on his life is horrific.
Dallas Buyers Club - excellent story, although it was hard to not see Matthew McConaughey as Rust Chole.
White Men Can't Jump - Still love this. Love a hustler, love the banter.
Watched Zathura: A Space Adventure which is basically Jumanji 2. It was good movie to watch with the kids .
Watched Will Ferrell in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and nearly died laughing.
Thursday I watched Mel Brooks Blazing Saddles never tire of that film .
Watched Lemony Snickets A series of unfortunate events which was OK but not great.
Finally watched Fast and Furious 6
full disclosure - for whatever reason i only saw #1 prior to watching #6... should've watched #5 first and then #6
good, solid, summer blockbuster hollywood type movie - fast driving, lots of explosions and was entertaining for the type of movie it was
one nitpicking point - i usually am not the most critical of viewers, i prefer to watch the film and just get absorbed in it and enjoy it instead of look to pick it apart
Dom's crew is kitted up with all this high-tech gear but when they are driving 250mph+, and to communicate with each other, all they had were walkie talkies? 2 hands on the steering wheel! WTF? i guess it looked cool for them to drive with one hand and one hand on the walkie talkie
Watched Turbo at the cinema and it had some good music for the adults like Queen and some rap.
Watched old school on BBC3 which was very funny where three friends attempt to recapture their glory days by opening up a fraternity. It stars Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell
Turbo was awesome! despite it being a generic story we see from disney and pixar etc, still pretty well-done. my kids and i loved it
I watched 'Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf' and I have to say that it was one of the most messed up things I have ever seen. It's a very good film, but it's very painful viewing. Burton and Taylor are so malevolent and cruel towards one another. You would think by that age the characters would have started to chill a little, but they are brutal and in turn rip to shreds anything they cross and in the process shred themselves. Speaking of age you would never think Elizabeth Taylor was on the shy side of her 30's, she looks old. She aged so quickly. Burton of course was older, but being a man, time looked more tenderly upon him and he had a lovely voice. She didn't.
They play games with one another which are cruel and twisted, and they spin them around and draw in others just so that they can open up weaknesses and prey upon them too. Taylor's character seems to be a bit of a slut and Burton's an arch liar and manipulator. I don't like their ways and so really would have walked out in minutes with my jacket unsoiled. None of the characters come across very well. That is the trouble with plenty of people working in Universities, they have a lot of fancy words in their silly fiefdoms, but they are not very decent people. They keep their jobs by appeasing whatever needs to be appeased. They are like journalists in that regard.
Compliance - Film about a prank caller who calls a fictional fast food joint and claims one of the staff is a thief then convinces the rest of the team to humiliate her. Based on real events
Strip search phone call scam - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It was a shit film but I had to keep watching to see just how thick as pig shit some people can be.
Thor 2 - OK film to watch with the kids, decent action. Didn't make a lot of sense. Avengers assemble, Loki tries to take over Earth and they go at him mob handed and fuck him up and send him back to Palestine or whatever it is. Some cunt then tries to destroy all 9 realms at the same time and Thor has to deal with it all by himself, no sign of hulk, iron man etc. The division of labour amongst the avengers is pathetic!!
Watching Company Men starring Ben Afleck and Tommy Lee, I like it. The waste by private/corporate companies at the expense of the common man is disgusting.
Watched step brother starring Will Ferrell, it is crazy funny and stupid.
I have worked in the tertiary sector and I have read a lot of journalism and read beyond, but I speak mainly of my experience working at Universities. I know the kinds of people that do these jobs. I have worked with them, read them, others know them. I would extend it to banking, politics, and most areas of life. Being correct and proper will not help you. I know how these fields work and I think you do too. It isn't blanket fold and there are good people anywhere, but there are a mountain of shits to wade through. Many of them are looking for their retirement and pension and for many of these jobs it is who you know too. I speak from experience when it comes to Universities and when it comes to journalists and mainly those I read. It isn't a great leap to jump fields.
With respect. Big huge swinging bollocks. My father in law used to work in Fleet street and my Grandfather was an editor you could not find more honest , forthright open minded people. Working at Universities is nothing like Journalism. I work at several Universities and have lectured several teachers and lecturers at Universities and most of them have no idea of what it takes to be freelancing and working in the real world. Have you got another job yet or have you gone back to University to appease whoever needs to be appeased ?
